I went for a walk by my old elementary school yesterday... it's been almost 10 years since I graduated from there. Yet I can still fondly recall the smell of the hallways (the comforting smell of old books mingled with faint traces of whatever they cleaned the school with). And I'm sure that if I actually went back into the school, my feet would remember the way to the library, and the cafeteria, and my old classrooms. It was a bittersweet moment- Life was so much simpler back then, but my universe so much smaller.
