New Eden Martial Law Update - 003

The following laws are effective immediately:

No one may cover up their wrists. Their mark must be on display at all times.

Titles are required for all submissive and switches when addressing Dominants. Failure to use a title will result in punishment.

On the subject of punishments, Dominants are required to exert more control over our lesser counterparts. More punishments equals more favor in the eyes of the law.

If a Dominant would like to lodge a formal complaint against the NEPD, they may do so at the precinct adjacent to City Hall. This privilege does not extend to submissive and switches.

If a Dominant makes a request of a submissive, then they are not allowed to refuse the request. The only exclusions to this rule are sexual submission and scenes, as those still require heavy consent. All other requests, however, must be followed through on without any refusal or backtalk on the part of the submissive. Submissives are required to serve.

Submissives and Switches are not allowed to have private communications on their cell phones. All communication must be overseen and approved by a Dominant reading their texts. If anything is seen that is against our new society, it must be reported directly to NEPD. Even the smallest amount of disagreement or dissension must be reported, as it is dangerous to the utopian society we are trying to create.

The homes and persons of Switches will now be randomly searched for food and medical supplies to provide for their betters. Anyone hoarding supplies may be arrested. To avoid this, please donate all extra you have to your nearest NEPD officer.

We are also instituting a new curfew solely for Switches. From the 11PM in the evening to 5PM the next day, Switches are not allowed to leave their homes. The new job assignments must be completed within the hours allotted-- which is 6 PM in the evening to 10 PM, at which point they must clock out and return home.

The following Dominants will be rounded up by our faithful NEPD officers and escorted to Manor Park where this sham of a “protest” is happening. To make an example of them for breaking our new laws and to show those sitting in at Manor Park that we do not take kindly to uprising, they will be subjected to a punishment.

PUNISHMENT DETAILS:

They will be handcuffed and brought to Manor Park, facing the majority of the people participating in the sit in. The officers will be two per Dominant, holding them by their upper arms. They are not forced to kneel but Covington is there himself. He makes a speech about playing into terrorist hands and that dissenters will not be tolerated in his new utopia.

After the speech, each Dominant is affixed with a Whitehead gag ( PHOTO EXAMPLE HERE - NSFW ). The gag is locked with a padlock and key, the three keys threaded onto a necklace around Covington’s neck. He proclaims loudly that each of these Dominants are to wear these gags for a total for 24 hours, and he is very much aware how difficult it will be for them to eat or drink during that time. He looks at each of them and says that it is the price they must pay for not stepping in line.

Afterwards, he simply leaves the premises and dismisses the officers, allowing the Dominants to go as they please.

Citizens of New Eden,

I assure you, the complaints and concerns that you have been bringing to our attention are not going unheard. We understand that this is a sharp transition for all of us, none moreso than for the New Eden Police Department. Our officers and staff have been working night and day to maintain the safety of this city and we have been taking your feedback into account.

In response to the overcrowding issues at the correctional facilities around the city, we are implementing a new system that should hopefully alleviate such issues. In trying times such as these, we need all citizens to step up and help each other to ensure that our community is strong. Switches are already doing their part with the essential work they provide for the city’s infrastructure. Now, we ask that of our Dominant population to do so as well. Part of this includes the punishment mandate issued several days ago. By Dominants doing their part, this frees up government resources to invest into finding these terrorists so we all may go back to our lives.

As such, we have another large request to ask of our citizens. Any unclaimed submissives over the age of 18 will be assigned to a Dominant, with whom they will spend three days out of the week. We assure you that all claims and mock claims will be honored, so there will be no breaking of relationships in this mandate. During these three days, the Dominant will be responsible for administering the submissive’s weekly scene and maintenance punishment.

We understand that this is not an ideal solution, but we have ultimately found no other choice. We must humbly ask our citizens to help the government in this moment of history. The world’s eyes are on us. Let them see that we will not bow down to terrorism. We will not devolve into anarchy. We are New Eden, strong and proud. Let us show them what utopia really means.

New Eden Martial Law Update - 002

The following laws are effective immediately:

All businesses that are not Dominant-owned must acquire a Dominant sponsor to act as supervision during business hours.

Any Dominant that sees any sign of defiance or dissension from a Submissive or Switch is now required to punish them as soon as they are able. Public punishments to this type of misbehavior are required, as far too many times punishment has been behind closed doors and has not shown results. If a Dominant sees this and makes the choice not to punish the offending submissive or switch, then they are in danger of being punished themselves.

All Switches will be reassigned from their current work orders in order to maintain the city to livable standards. Switches must report to City Hall to receive their new work schedules.

Failure to comply with any of these rules can and will result in immediate arrest.

New Eden Martial Law Update - 001

The following laws are effective immediately:

Submissives in claims (or claim-like relationships) must wear collars in public to show which Dominant has responsibility for them. Submissives with no collar may not be in public without a Dominant or police escort.

All submissives of age 25 or older who are not in a claim, or claim-like relationship ( such as: claims have been discussed, mock claim, etc. ), must report to Bayview Correctional Facility for mandatory D/s training. You must follow all rules of Bayview detailed out in THIS LORE POST. Those submissives must live here during the weekdays and report back home on the weekends.

Switches now must scene once every two weeks, just as Dominants and submissives do, but only with other Switches. These scenes must be reported to NEPD as soon as possible after, with a full detailed report on the activities of the scene, and the aftercare provided.

Failure to comply with any of these rules can and will result in immediate arrest.

Citizens of New Eden,

I was hoping to finish out this year without having to do another public address like this. It seems as though tragedy has struck our city far too many times for it to be fair. As you are all aware, there was a hostage crisis at City Hall over the last several days. Myself, along with Mayor Lee, and a number of other high-profile city officials were caught in this traumatic experience.

I assure you that the threat has been neutralized through the stellar work of your New Eden Police Department. Brave men and women risked their lives to protect this great city, and a number of these heroes gave their lives in service of New Eden. And it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that Mayor Theodora Lee was among those who were shot and killed during the crisis, along with Councilman Thresher and fourteen other staffers. All in all, twenty-eight people were killed, no, they were murdered, with thirty-nine people injured.

I make you this promise. These deaths will not go unanswered. The culprits of this horrific tragedy were masked Switches and submissives who claimed that they were part of the Nameless. They never had any intention of negotiating or listening to anything that was said. They made demands that couldn’t possibly be fulfilled, because they knew exactly what they planned to do the moment they entered the building.

I have been in touch with President Markham and debriefed him on this act of cowardice. He has granted me authority to establish martial law within city limits, and troops from the National Guard will be deployed until this threat is conquered. The Nameless have terrorized this city for too long, and I, for one, am sick of being toyed with. They use lies and deception, smoke and mirrors and masks to hide. I promise you, there is no crevice or hold they can crawl into where we will not be able to reach them, and they will be held accountable.

OOC: This is what y’all wanted, right? Again, as a quick recap, the hostage crisis is now over. 28 people killed, 39 injured. Theo was one of the casualties of the crisis and therefore, is no longer mayor. Covington has received federal authority to establish martial law within the city of New Eden, which means shit’s about to get fucked. Here are the new rules under martial law:

All civilian firearms will be confiscated. Any civilian found with a firearm will be charged with aiding and abetting a terrorist organization.

The borders of New Eden are closed until further notice. No one leaves or enters the city.

The police do not need a warrant to search you or your property, to arrest you, or to seize your property.

All electronic communications will continue to be heavily monitored by the NEPD.

There is no freedom of speech or freedom of press. You can be arrested for saying the wrong thing or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Speaking out against the authorities will be a bad idea.

A daily curfew will be imposed between 11PM and 4AM. For those who may require exceptions due to their job may seek an exception from the NEPD, but it will be given very sparingly to those with “essential” positions.

Checkpoints will be set up throughout the city and there will be a heavy increase in police presence. Public transit has a much more limited schedule and will be heavily policed.

Ration lines will be set up in each neighborhood, at the large chain supermarkets. These lines will be long and each person will be given enough rations (food and water) for one week. People may not collect rations on behalf of others.

People may not gather in groups larger than six people.

These rules are purposely oppressive and really shift the nature of the game. All of the protections and freedoms that people might have taken for granted before now, no longer exist. We highly encourage all of you to sink your teeth into this and have fun with it. If there is anything you’d like to run by us, or if you have any questions, feel free to slide in to our DMs.

An incident tonight at the NEPD police station has occurred, while no one was injured, it has been said that there were some very important information stolen off of our hard drives. This stolen information in the wrong hands is dangerous and could lead to something far worse than simply this.

We are currently on a very high alert and using most of our resources to find and apprehend these anarchists. We have reason to believe that they are associated with the Nameless, so please keep an eye out for the signature masks and report any findings by calling into our established hotline.

As of right now a curfew is in effect for the weekend. Tonight, as well as both Saturday and Sunday, all citizens should remain indoors from 9PM to 7AM the next morning. There will be no exceptions. Updates to follow.

As you may have heard, we had an incident at the Switch parade. A firework was set off next to the parade route, causing a panic. This led to people panicking and fighting, and a riot broke out in the aftermath, hence the state of emergency. The curfew is still in place while fire, medical, and law enforcement continue to help with rescue and cleanup efforts in the city. We encourage you to stay vigilant, and ask that you do not call fire and rescue unless it is a dire emergency. Support is coming from elsewhere but for the moment, we need your help to keep our city safe.

I am also heartbroken to report that there have been very serious injuries and deaths caused by this chaos. At present moment, the death toll is placed at 274 people and climbing, and scores more injured. Countless properties have been destroyed and arrests continue to be made. This is a tragedy, and one that was caused by an act of pure evil.

It is unclear who was the one to set off the firework that led to this horrifying devastation. But rest assured that we will hunt down this perpetrator and make sure they pay the consequences. Those who participated in the looting and rioting will be charged and arraigned with no mercy. There is no excuse to act like the animals and monsters I saw tonight. New Eden will not tolerate these acts of terrorism.

All citizens, be advised that there was an incident at the parade and Mayor Lee is initiating a city emergency. An immediate curfew is instituted at this time. If you are at home, do not leave your residence. For those of you outside, take shelter in the nearest building. Anyone caught outside will be arrested immediately. This is not a drill. This is for the safety of everyone. Please do not panic. All will be fine as long as you stay put. Please listen to any directions given to you by law enforcement and stay calm.

To those near 5th and 63rd, don’t be alarmed at the number of police officers in the area. There was an altercation between Traditionalist protestors and parade-goers that spilled into the street. Several arrests have been made, and a few minor injuries, but the situation has been handled. However, this will delay the parade momentarily while we restore the barriers and move the crowd back. We apologize for the delay and hope to get the parade back on track within the hour. Thank you for your patience.

Your government has been hard at work for the past several weeks to recover from the upheaval caused by the Nameless and the reveal that our former Mayor had been lying to us all. In that time, Council Member Theodora Lee has announced her candidacy for Mayor, while Deputy Mayor Andrew Grainger has announced that he will not be seeking re-election, and no other challengers have stepped forward. Given that our city cannot go on for much longer with a fractured government, Theodora Lee will officially be sworn in as Mayor of New Eden this Saturday. She has the full endorsement of the New Eden Police Department as well as support from the Fire and Rescue Department. I know, speaking from personal experience, that Mayor Lee will be a phenomenal asset to the city and she will lead New Eden back to its former glory. Let me be the first to formally congratulate Mayor Lee on her new position.

I’m glad to announce that with the arrests made yesterday and a some help from anonymous sources, the NEPD and federal agents have been about to take back New Eden and begin to work to restore it to it’s former glory. Security has been reinforced, and we currently have, what seems to be like, key members of this terrorist group in our custody.

As far as we can say, The Nameless are no longer a threat. This means that we can finally begin work to clean up the city and put things in motion to protect us from an attack of this nature again. For those of you who stood up to the face of this and didn’t give in, I, personally, commend you for your loyalty to the city.

Over this week, I have been working closely with a task force to hunt down the rest of The Nameless and get every single one thrown into prison. That being said, we are still looking for information as to how this came to pass, but more on that in a moment.

The torture that we were witness to was nothing short of appalling and degrading. My well wishes goes to those who were subject to it, save for the Switch who gave in to demands easily. This means you’ll be under severe watch to make sure that you have no ties to The Nameless. For the Switch who let themselves be tortured rather than hurt a Dominant, we thank you and praise you for enduring that and standing up for what it means to be a Dominant.

However, with the reveal of Henri Winters being a Switch, it is with a heavy and disgusted heart that I say we are glad to have her out of the seat of power and into a jail cell where she so obviously belongs. Until we are able to hold elections, Deputy Mayor Grainger is in charge.

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Officer Weber’s body was discovered early this morning, on the outskirts of Bayview. I have also been informed that surveillance caught Julia Cross leaving New Eden with Olivia Quinn on the evening of the seventh for Boston, and neither have returned since then. My counterparts at the Boston Police Department assure me that they are still in the city. Evidence found on Officer Weber’s body further indicates that Cross may not have been involved in her murder. This next description is quite graphic so please proceed with caution.

A note was pinned to Officer Weber’s body with the words “Switches get stitches... and so do the Dominants who protect them.” This is a clear warning. Officer Weber was caught up in something dangerous involving Switches, and it cost her her life. The note was signed with the initials "M.H."

This is now a murder investigation. Any information that provides a solid lead will be handsomely rewarded.

Dear Citizens of New Eden,

I am speaking to you with a plea. One of our own, Officer Aidan Weber, has been declared missing. She was due to return to work today after a short sabbatical and did not report for duty. In all her years on the force, I do not recall her being late once to a shift. Her phone was turned off, and when a patrol car stopped by her home, there were signs of a struggle, and damning evidence was recovered. Chilling declarations from terrorist Julia Cross herself, in her own words, of a list of her enemies and clear threats against Dominants.

As you may know, being a police officer is often a thankless job, and we make many enemies during the course of our career. Officer Weber was a vocal critic of Cross and had declared more than once that she did not trust her. Multiple witnesses confirm that there had been altercations between the two. Between this history and the evidence found at Officer Weber’s home, a patrol was dispatched to the Cross residence, and there are indications that she left town in a hurry. Now I’m not suggesting that that she had a hand in Officer Weber’s disappearance. Perhaps there is a perfectly rational explanation for this. But the timing is suspicious and Julia’s own words are clear. “I wonder who will die next...”

If anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of Officer Weber or Julia Cross, please contact the NEPD immediately. We will not rest until Officer Weber is found. Take care of each other. If you see anything suspicious, do not hesitate to call. Our priority is making sure that Officer Weber comes home safe and sound.

With New Eden’s Celebration Fest kicking off tomorrow evening, this is just a reminder from the NEPD to be safe during the festivities. We know that the disappearances of our citizens has most of us concerned, but all of us will be out making sure that you all are safe while enjoying the best of what New Eden has to offer.

Some of our kind citizens have also taken it upon themselves to remind you of proper safety etiquette during something as crowded as our Fourth of July kickoff and various theme weekends this month, so pay special attention to those! And thank you for your proactive thinking.

We do have one last thing to announce, and it’s something new on the docket for Celebration Fest. A Submissive Rights Rally has been approved and given an area to gather, and thanks to their funding, they were able to secure a stage. Those of you who are attending, be sure that we will have officers around for protection to make sure that nothing gets out of hand. I give you my personal word that these officers will protect those involved or standing by the sidelines.

Citizens of New Eden, as you all may have heard, we have conducted a series of arrests this morning. It seems as thought this was some planned attack with targets including our beloved hospital, universities, and beautiful Manor Park. We now currently have six Switches in our custody, all of whom, upon arrest, resisted.

Many of you may have heard the rhetoric and threats being spouted before our officers arrived on the scene, and we here at the New Eden Police Department are doing everything in our power to make sure that these threats were empty and that no harm will fall to any of the dominants and submissives in the surrounding areas. If you are approached for questioning, do well to be cooperative and swift while we proceed.
