Shi Hoshiani 星西
*Shi Hoshiani has been my main character for about 1-2 years now, and she's been sitting on the shelf for so long I never created a real story for her. Just kind of drawn and edited her whenever I felt like it. Well, here's part one of her story. I have so many plans for her story line I just can't keep typing ;; mentally exhausted. Age: 21
Birthday: March 1st
Location: Nishimura 西村
Height: 5 ft 8 inches

Makeup: Shi, wears a red and broad makeup across the bridge of her nose and covers her eyes as well. Her makeup determines her rank, and she is a political and professional assassin after graduating from her academy.
Lore:
Shi grew up her entire life in the small village of Nishimura ( 西村 ) There she was raised actually quite decently from what you would expect. She was born into a pure blood line or wealth and skill level and also high expectations. She was trained from day one to be what she was already destined to become. An assassin.
Shi started being trained and educated at home. But since her father wasn’t able to afford the time, he hired a personal trainer that he could trust. The trainers name is, Jeikobu (ジェイコブ). He has trained 2 generations of over 100 students. And, was successful and maintained good relationships with all of them. Jeikobu is 38 years old and is typically very strict but does also have his soft side.
As a surprise, the entire Hoshiani clan is dedicated to their culture. Killing.
Shi’s first mission was when she was only 16 years old. They have strict tests that require you to be able to stay an entire 24 hours and survive in the Forbidden Forest. There, creatures lurk for blood lust and an assortment of all sorts of wicked scenarios.
For some of the Hoshiani clan members, they don’t survive. Most of the time, bodies are never recovered due to the wild animals.
Shi, contains a rare bloodline that hasn’t shown up in over 300 years in their culture. And that’s the ability to communicate with animals, and sometimes can even control them. But the odd thing is that they have to grant her the ability to let her overcome and overpower them. She also has a high skill level of martial arts and weaponry. She carries a weapon at all times, called the “Tri - Dagger” ( トリーダガー ). bit.ly/2Cz8rxz
Her Tri - Dagger is strictly illegal around the entire world to the brutal blunt force trauma it can cause. If someone just has one stab wound, they can bleed to death within 5 minutes. For Shi, her quickest killing only took 46 seconds.
Another smaller weapon she carries just for easier access and and quick movement and slicing, is the Karambit ( カラビット ). bit.ly/2Cz8rxz
When trying to get past guards, and try to make her appearance as unknown as possible, she uses this weapon due to its size and ability to cut with ease.

When you look at the Hoshiani clan, it appears very much so as a cult. How this clan stays privately funded and hidden is due to high and powerful connections. They signed a treaty underground in private quarters. The treaty states equal partnership and 50% of income. 10% is automatically put into their personal reserve for injuries or weapons or medications in need. And also other basic necessities.
The leader of the Hoshiani clan, Kumagai, and Wakayoshi, the Federal Leader of the Energy Reserve.
Wakayoshi is a very wealthy and powerful man. He is known to hire the Hoshiani’s to basically, ‘Delete’ any competition or threat to his position.
How can he afford all this you ask? Due to his power of position, he controls over half of the circuit boards around their nation. No other competitor knows of his true intention as he hides his true self in secret. Wakayoshi is very loyal to the Hoshiani’s for everything they have done for him. So they are paid a fair amount and equally. Wakayoshi is only 47 years old and is already a billionaire which comes from his political income.

Now.. when it comes to Shi. She’s an odd character who hides a lot of truth within herself. And since she was raised to be cold hearted, she has no problem keeping secrets away from anyone.
Her bloodline comes from what was to be thought of as a legend. The last time it was ever recorded was 300 years ago when their clans origins were finally forming together.
Shi has the ability to communicate and control animals with her mind. She has never mentioned it to anybody in her clan. Not even her own parents or siblings or even friends. She doesn’t want to be ridiculed for the idea since most think it’s idiotic. And the people that DO believe in it still existing, are labeled as psychos and ‘Creatures’. That is because, the last person known to have it, was named “Ueda Isamu Hoshiani” ( 上田イサム星野 ). He used the powers for more evil than good.
And legend says that when Hoshiani members are sent to the Forbidden Forest, some have even reported meeting him or seeing him wander with the wild animals.
In this forest, there are lots and lots of wildlife that is deadly to the touch, or gentle as a feather. Being in this clan is no walk in the park. Some are permanently tormented by visions and hallucinations they see. Almost 30% of the plants and berries in this forest are not toxic in the sense that they can kill you, but more so dangerous in the fact they can make you go psychologically insane.
For example, the most common plant that does the most damage is often inhaled by mistake due to its defense mechanism. The plant is called “The Fire Lily” ( 炎リリー ). It appears beautifully, but if not recognized quick enough, it disperses only a spoonful of clear powder into the air, and isn’t recognized you’ve been affected till it’s too late. It got its name the Fire Lily due to its burning sensation before going into a psychological hallucination. Some have lived to even tell the tale of their encounter with it. Most starve or die from dehydration, and some even commit suicide from being pushed to the brink of insanity.
This Forbidden Forest is meant to test your mental and physical ability and be able to be loyal to the clan.

The test is mainly a skill of survival and students must survive 2 days in the 50 mile long forest. There are checkpoints so others can have a guarantee of making it so safety. Some, unfortunately don’t make it.

I decided to draw Shi next. To get a simple story line down so far, Shi comes from clan. (Hoshiani 星西 ) In her clan, from a young age they are taught to be heartless, cruel, and eventually become assassins for political power. In the Hoshiani clan, the red make-up around the eyes determines your rank. Eye-Liner - student 3-10 years Eye lids - graduate - 10 - 21 Eyes / Bridge of nose - assassin -21-40 years Forehead/Cheeks - elder 40+ Shi is always conflicted as to what her true calling is. Sometimes she is exactly what her elders want her to be, and thats the perfect assassin. Slick, skilled and highly professional and can easily blend in with her surroundings. Being an assassin comes naturally to her due to her past and being raised to believe nothing else. The Hoshiani clan has been known to cause many political conflicts, and also has many bounties on their heads. Most of the time they wear wigs, and different colored makeup to blend in with crowds. Only 2 in their entire clan history has been caught. There are hundreds still living around the world. The Hoshiani clan is mainly known to hide in mountains due to their hunting skills with killing animals and being able to use their fur to make clothing. But almost all of their skin tones are white, and their only negative is having poor blood circulation making them able to withstand the cold more. They spend most the week training, and on weekends, they relax and actually, surprisingly have social lives in the clan.

I used to edit so much and I always felt like i’m not truly unique (?) I don’t know how to word it. But recently, I was gifted a new laptop and a stylus that works great with it. So now i’ll be practicing more on my drawing capabilities to see what I’m capable of c:
