He smiled, leaning in to press a kiss to the corner of Oliver’s lips. “Yes, good. I know my family loves me.” He winked at Oliver. “Sometimes I need reminding that you love me too.”
Oliver smiled, and looked at Charlie. “I do love you,” he said, putting his arms around his boyfriend. pulling him close. “A lot.”

The Weasley’s took their Quidditch seriously.
Bill would now have to try not to imagine his date and the perks of athleticism. “In the spirit of honesty I will admit I was a little skeptical but I think Alicia described you pretty well. Except for leaving out the lovely Scottish accent-” the redhead flirted all the while studying the menu.
“Oh, alright,” Oliver pushed his chair back. “I’m just going to get up and go then,” he said, going as far as standing up before he cracked a smile. “I am Puddlemere United’s keeper,” he proceeds to explain, sitting down again.
“I was a bit skeptical as well,” he admitted, “now that I can see you I am very glad I agreed to it though.” He smirked, looking from Bill to the menu. Bill was making a good impression so far, and he found he was enjoying himself a lot.

Oliver looked up, suddenly feeling pretty stupid for not getting the joke. “Oh,” he said, a faint blush coloring his cheeks, “good.”

Perhaps being back for now would not be the worst of ideas. It was nice to catch up with everyone,maybe seeing friends settle down was the reason Bill agreed to this, to meet a practical stranger just because a mutual friend swore they would be perfect for each other. From the sound of Oliver Bill would have suggested his friend set him up with Charlie seeing as in the twenty minute introduction of who this mysterious Oliver was Quidditch was mentioned at least four times.
Never mind that. Bill was massively into his Quidditch teams as well and worse case scenario they had school in common. Bill brushed his hair thoroughly but opted not to put it up in it’s usual ponytail instead letting it fall loose and frame his face. His favorite dragon hide boots and dark trousers as well as the long red hair would make him easily to recognize in the dimly lit Fountain of Fair Fortune pub where he had arrived a bit earlier and was now half way through his first pint of bitter.
“Bill- nice to meet you” he introduced himself with his usual air of laid back confidence and a warm smile taking a mental note that their mutual friend had good taste, the younger boy was certainly cute. “Have you eaten? I haven’t had supper yet-”
With his quidditch career being about to take off Oliver didn’t have all that much time to get out and meet people, and while he thought he was perfectly fine being single his friend disagreed. His friend also had another single friend, whom apparently was just Oliver’s type, and they just had to meet. Oliver hadn’t been too hard to convince. He had the weekend off, and he could do with some company, and if he was lucky he might actually hit it off with this guy, and even if it didn’t work out, what was there to lose?
So he showed up and the Fountain of Fair Fortune pub, looking around to see if he could spot the guy he was there to see. After a few seconds his eyes fell on someone who fit his friend’s description and he smiled to himself. His friend had identified his type really well.
“Oliver, it’s a pleasure,” he said, giving a friendly smile. “I could certainly eat,” he replied to Bill’s question. He’d been training and lost track of time, so after showering and getting ready there hadn’t been time to eat, which appeared to be a lucky thing.

He ate in silence, finishing his sandwich and taking a sip of his water. There was so much weight between them in the silence, and he wasn’t sure hot to bring it all out and clear the air.
Finally he sighed and stood, holding a hand out for Oliver. “Come here,” he said softly, wanting to do something to be rid of the tension between them. They couldn’t continue like this.
Oliver looked at Charlie, confused, Then he stood, reaching out to take his hand. When their fingers touched it was like some of the weight was lifted from his chest. A smile formed on his face as he stepped closer and wrapped his arms around Charlie.
“I know we have to talk,” he said, his voice a low mutter, “about so many things, but can it wait till tomorrow? Just for tonight, can we just enjoy being home at the same time for more than an hour?”
