It turns out that some of the music heard on TVs in The Sims 2 was taken from The Mix III Production Elements CD (1995). This is a commercial library of sound effects and audio elements intended for use in media production.

Exciting Positive Rhythm Pad

This track (73) was originally released on the AIRCD 15 album under the title “Easy, Melodic, Magazine-Style Bumper" (No. 38).

Good Life

This track (76) is miscredited to Ray Parker and was originally released on the AIRCD 7 album (No. 70).

"Good Life" appears on the Yummy Channel clip "tv_food_cooking" (a Sim sets the kitchen on fire and dies).
