✿ Nice To Meet You, Good To See You || CLOSED ✿
The time to meet her parents had finally arrived and while she hadn't even been assigned a fiance yet (much to her relief) the boss she worked for had been more than eager to shove her on shift first instead of allowing her the morning to introduce herself to her new family and get acquainted with her new home. On her lunch hour she had sent both women a rather frantic and hastily-written text message apologizing for being unable to meet them when originally planned and at the end of the text she had asked if the two of them would mind picking her up from her shift once it ended. After all, she had no idea where the apartment was located and it would be dangerous to wander alone at night despite having the power of the cards with her at all times.
When a confirmation was received shortly after, the brunette had returned to work though, admittedly, she was too preoccupied with anxious thoughts of her family-to-be to focus on tasks at hand and once her shift came to an end, her boss had seemed thrilled to let her clock-off. Swearing to do a better job tomorrow, the young teen yanked her apron off and darted outside clumsily with pink cheeks and a weary expression to match. In her shaking hands were two ice cream cones-- one pink for strawberry and the other brown for chocolate. It wasn't much, but it would be rude to meet someone empty-handed. Her real father had taught her that since a young age.
Her father, brother, Syaoran, Tomoyo, Yukito, and Kero were the only ones she cared to see right now but she hadn't been given the chance. The thought of not having them around made her want to cry but the girl quickly blinked back the tears threatened to gather in the corners of her eyes and hung her head low with embarrassment when two girls approached her. 'Everything will be alright!' She needed to always remember that... These girls had to be her parents... She had dreamt of their faces the night before and knew she wasn't wrong. Her prophetic dreams had never failed her before.
Attempting a smile now, she held out the frozen treats and tried to ignore her trembling hands as she did so.
"H-Hello! It's nice to meet you! My name is Sakura Kinomoto!" A pause followed her introduction before she looked around quickly, as if the trees or ground would have the answers to whatever more she could say to the two strangers. "Um... I don't know what flavor you like but I made these at work for you...!"
