Y/n walks into Harry’s flower shop
She sips the iced vanilla flavored coffee, walking into the quiet flower shop that had just opened up about two blocks away from her apartment.
It seems like she’s the only customer and she sighs while looking at the selection of flowers that she thinks smell amazing. Usually she finds it pretty hard to shop for flowers, there’s so many options it overwhelms her- but in this moment she feels at peace.
Y/n tries to buy herself flowers every two weeks, you can never not have flowers she thinks. Especially when it’s spring, April showers bring may flowers she thinks again while roaming through the isle.
Purple, pink, white, that’s what she’s going for.
She starts to gather up her color choices when she jumps slightly at the cheerful voice that breaks her concentration.
“Need help finding anything?”
She looks over her shoulder noticing a man very much taller than herself, her first thoughts are that he’s slender and he has the prettiest smile she’s ever seen.
Her cheeks heat up as she turn to show him the bouquet she gathered together. “I’m actually just finishing up” she says.
“Perfect” he’s British. Perfect.
“You can follow me to the register whenever you’re ready”
Y/n watches him stroll away from her, his hands behind his back as he walks away and she can’t help but quickly follow him like a lost puppy.
She’s intrigued to say the least, this beautiful British man in all his glory stands behind the register waiting for her.
She thinks it’s quiet odd he has sunglasses sitting on top of his head, the weather isn’t the best today. Then again, she did ride her bike here so she couldn’t judge.
“These are great” the man comments as he takes the flowers from her and starts wrapping them up .
The man cocks his eyebrow up at her and giggles making y/n blush.
“When did you guys open?” Y/n tries to converse.
“Monday was our first day” he says smiling at her and setting down the bouquet on the counter.
He tells her the total and y/n quickly fishes out her card, shaky hand and all but she successfully hands it to him.
“Y/n” the man says lowly making her tilt her head at him. “You’re my first customer of the day” he says before handing her card back to her.
“Which means you get to hear the joke of the day” he said with a sloppy grin.
This makes y/n laugh in confusion, the man chuckles watching her take ahold of her flowers after placing her card into her purse.
“I’m all ears” she nods for him to continue.
“What did the big flower say to the little flower?”
She raises her eyebrows up at him.
The pair burst out in fits of giggles and cackles, y/n can’t help but blush when she notices how the mans eyes stay glued to her face as she snorts out.
“Wow, that should be framed” she sighs stepping back slightly. “What’s your name?” She blurts out.
“Do your tell jokes to every first customer of the day, Harry?”
She shifts on the balls of her feet, cringing at herself for probably doing the worst job at flirting. She can’t help it though, cute boys make her nervous, especially ones with pretty green eyes and chocolaty brown hair.
“I dunno maybe come in tomorrow and find out?” he says hopefully.
Harry knows he’s not the best at flirting but y/n doesn’t need to know that. He huffs in relief watching her push her hair back, giggling with a shy nod.
