.. what's your relationship with Mr. Stone?
Uhh. I dunno. .. Which one? Mr. Stone Mr. Stone or rock guy Mr. Stone? Cause I know 'em both. Kind of. Steven Mr. Stone is a nerd but that's cool. I beat him and he gives me money. Old guy Mr. Stone is like. I dunno. He's an old guy
I mean .. ! Are you close to Steven and Wallace?!
Oh. I guess? I hang out with Lisia sometimes so I see Wallace then. Or when the ol' whale is acting up. Steven helps me out with champion business. They're like. Weird but cool.
No .. no .. !
.. What is up with you?
I have to kill myself now . She already has a kid .. ! I've been played like a fiddle .. !
HOLD ON A SECOND-

HOLD ON A SECOND-
[Groudon Mail!]
[Cinders burst from seemingly nowhere, before quickly warping into intense flames. Within seconds, the smoke, fire, and cinders converge in the middle, as Cardinal appears, dropping onto the ground, and landing steady on his feet.
They're holding two large bags, each filled with an assortment of snacks, blankets, extra clothing, and even a fairly decent sum of money, along with various other items. His eyes glow a bright red, as Groudon's veins cover his neck and arms, with its easily all too familiar pattern on the backs of his hands. He stands unmoving for a few seconds, simply staring at Ruby blankly.
Soon, the intense heat radiating off of him simmers down, red fading to orange, then disappearing entirely, as Cardinal snaps into awareness.
He promptly groans and falls straight onto his hands and knees, then starts leaning backwards to sit properly, resting against one of the bags. He lets out a cough, then holds onto their stomach. "Gghhh.. shit- gimme a moment.. 'm gonna be sick.."]
[ Ruby yelps, frantically trying to put out the flames. She lives in a tree at the moment, after all- she slaps at the flames uselessly until she's suddenly smacking Cardinal. "Eek- sorry, sorry .. !" She steps back, hugging herself. She's fitted in a large red sweater with black skinny jeans, warm knee-high fur boots to finish the look. And a white hat from Wallace, of course. ".. Are you okay? That didn't look very .. fun." ]
[He grunts a little at the smacks, but doesn't react much otherwise, moreso looking confused than anything else.
"You're fine, don't worry..." He slowly stands up with a dismissive wave, narrowly avoiding throwing up.
He takes a moment to survey their surroundings, rubbing his chin as he does so, until nodding in approval. "Better than what I could do.. mm."
They turn his attention back to Ruby, with a warm smile. "It's nice to meet you in person.. you look really pretty! Cozy, too.. and uh, don't worry. I'm fine. It stops hurting after a few minutes."]
[ "Haha .. not really. This is my worst base yet. I didn't have time to load any of my furniture into the PC before .. you know." She rolls her eyes. "Pretty .. ? Huh. Thanks .. it's nice to meet you too." She smiles, brushing aside some hair. ".. I'm not sure if it should hurt at all, frankly." ]
["Mm.. that sucks. I brought some stuff, if that helps... not much but.. could make it a little better." They reach into the bag on their left, and pull out a stupidly large blanket. It's red in color, and looks very soft and fluffy. "I've got a ton more of these.. I uh, got really spoiled by my Wallace. Kinda hard to fit everything in the bags..." He hands her the blanket, with a small shrug of their shoulders. "Well.. I just walked through fire, in a literal sense. And.. I get super hot when Groudon takes over.. the regen keeps me from getting sizzled, but.. still hurts. Sucks that it does, but.. I dunno how it wouldn't."]
[ ".. That's nice." She murmurs, a hint of jealousy in her voice. Mikuri is very kind, yes. But .. she doesn't exactly know her actual Wallace. For all she knows, he could hate her. Even after saving the region twice. ]
[ "Could Groudon cover you in rock maybe? I mean, it's a ground type too .. don't see why not." She shrugs, feeling over the blanket with a pleasant hum. ]
[He doesn't seem to pick up on the jealousy. Or, if he does, they just don't comment on it, just humming quietly with a nod.
"Eh, maybe. Hasn't tried it yet.. I don't know if that'd be better or worse, though.. being encased in rocks doesn't sound fun either." They sit back down, pulling out a blanket for himself, this one white. He wraps it around themself, soon becoming a little cocoon. "I'd take something like this though, hehe!"]
[ She giggles, nodding as she wraps her up as well. ".. Yeah. This is nice." Even if it's technically just a plot to convince him that Groudon isn't evil. "So .. why did you wanna come over?" ]
["Well.. I'm tired of doing nothing while you go through bad things alone. I wanna help in any way I can. Even if it's just by being here at all." They pause, thinking quietly for a moment. "I mean, I'm pretty sure you've still got people from here that you can trust, but... I've been saying I wanted to come over ever since I met you." He sinks into his blanket a little more, leaning against their bag as they curl up. "Getting to see you is enough of a reason in my book. Even if nothing was going wrong.."]
[ ".. I guess I do. I haven't talked to Wally and Sapphire in a bit. I don't want them to be worried, you know?" She picks at her skirt. "And .. yes. Seeing you is certainly nice! Better than the last few days .." She lays against her pile of clothes, glancing up through the leaves at the sky. ".. Looks cloudy." She mumbles. "Might rain." ]
["..I feel you there." He murmurs quietly into their blanket. "But.. you should let them know anyways. Rich coming from me, I know, but.. they do have a right to worry and stuff. I'm glad I'm making things a bit better though." He grumbles a little bit at the mention of rain, not seeming very pleased about that possibility. "Mmm.. that's not good. Hate rain..."]
[ "Ugh, I know. But Wally worries himself to the point of asthma attacks! I mean, it's cute when he worries .. but not like that." Ruby sighs, a hand to her head. "My love life is disastrous, Cardinal!" She glares at the sky. "Same. And thunder .. especially after the weather institute. I mean .. I know he can't get me. But it just .. feels like he can. Even now." ]
["Oh.. that complicates things.." He mirrors her on accident, hand on head, sighing too. "Can't really argue with that.. Wally seems nice though. We're not a thing in my world.. just really good friends." He glares up aswell, smoke simmering from his skin, until he takes a deep breath to reel himself back in. "I get it... never liked storms before, but after that night.. it's like I'm back there. Backed against the wall I was thrown into.. thinking I had nothing left to lose but my chains. Ended up dangling over a spike pit by the end of that.." He grits his teeth, a puff of smoke exiting his nostrils, dirtying his blanket. Usually, they'd notice and complain.. but not this time. "The worst part is that the monster tried to save me. That he... seemed to care, in his own twisted way. Like.. bits and pieces of the man I deserved to have as my father. But instead I got.. that. Still, yours..." He goes silent, choosing not to bring up any of the events surrounding her Norman. He sighs again, looking over at her. "Well.. just know that you've got me by your side. Nobody's doing anything to you while I'm here.. okay?"]
[ "Really .. ? Huh, I guess I got lucky. I never imagined I'd have two partners .. much less one. Never thought I was .. the loveable type, I guess." She sighed. Grimacing, she carefully swipes away the soot. ".. Mine dropped me into a raging river with a broken arm." She murmured, the memory fresh in her head. "And then tried to kill me in Littleroot. I can't tell who's worse." Ruby let out a pitiful little laugh. ".. If you say so, Cardinal. I doubt we'll be getting into fights, anyways!" She can't risk putting him in danger with that thing present. ]
["Mhm.. you really did. Neither of us feel that way for eachother, but.. he's really sweet. Anyone would be lucky to have him." He mutters his thanks as she swipes away the soot. "Not really worth thinking about which was worse.. They're both shit. All that matters.. or I guess.. doesn't anymore." He chuckles a little in response, a smile growing again. "Hey, it's the thought that counts, right? Even if there's no fighting.. it's good to know somebody's willing." He bites down his own fears regarding his that thing. Better not to give it any thought.]
[ "Uh-huh? Speak any higher of him and I'll assume you have a nasty crush on him!" She giggled, covering her smile. "Mm .. it is nice to know I have someone in my corner. Er .. myself? I guess if I can't like myself, I can like you. That counts for self love, right? I think mom would be proud .." ]
["Eheh.. I'll.. think about it? Maybe I'm repressing some shit.." He giggles aswell, hiding the lower half of their face with his blanket. "Yeah.. it'll have to do for now... don't like me, do like you... hopefully we get.. a little better at the self love thing later.. I hope she would be.. haven't talked to mine in... too long.."]
[ "You swear a lot. Not very elegant, Cardinal." Ruby scolds. "Uh-huh .. it's a step, I think!.. Oh, and I meant - Mikuri. Another Wallace. She's .. overwhelmingly kind. I don't know what I did to deserve it." ]
["Right, uhm.. sorry..." He clears their throat, quickly looking away. "Ohhh.. my Mikuri is sorta my new dad. That's.. sorta funny. Mine's the same way.. I guess we didn't really.. have to earn it, to them. That's what mine tells me.."]

["Mm.. that sucks. I brought some stuff, if that helps... not much but.. could make it a little better." They reach into the bag on their left, and pull out a stupidly large blanket. He hands her the blanket, with a small shrug of their shoulders. "Well.. I just walked through fire, in a literal sense. And.. I get super hot when Groudon takes over.. the regen keeps me from getting sizzled, but.. still hurts. Sucks that it does, but.. I dunno how it wouldn't."]

Nobody's doing anything to you while I'm here.. okay?"]

You. Little dweller of Land. I have a proposition. Would you be willing to cooperate, and listen? It is worth hearing me out.
-Cardinal..?
.. Cardinal? Oh. Wait. You're ..
.. Groudon?.. What do you want?
I only wish to give my host what it desires. To show that he can trust in the mighty Groudon... and what they desire, most often, is to help you.
I can send them to you, if you would agree to it. All I ask in return, is that you help to ensure my host does not become damaged, and that your version of me does not "start shit", as the youth of your kind would say.
Put your trust in me, and perhaps you will have a true ally in this difficult time. What say you, Dweller?
.. And why should he trust you? You made him kill a bunch of people. You .. are the reason he was kidnapped in the first place. All you want is to selfishly expand the earth and cause havoc. You have to prove to me that you're trustworthy too, you know.
Besides. He can't do much. I'm homeless. Unless he can remove an orb from my arm, I'm .. pretty much screwed.
I saved his life. Those people hurt him. Abused him. Tortured him. He would not have survived, if I did not will it so. I loathe those who believe I am under their control. It is not my fault they took the child, and as stated before.. I am the reason they escaped. I can hardly prove a thing without being given the chance. We are universes apart... and I could have simply started creating righteous land the moment I took over.
I did not do that. Instead, I went to you. I must admit.. the ideals of a host imprint on you if you spend too long as one being. I can wait to enact my plans. Time is a deadly weapon.
He cares not. If he knew he could channel my power themself... he would have been with you the moment you got banished. Besides. He has a wealth of supplies, and you social creatures benefit from being with someone.
..And if I must, I can aid you in controlling it. While my advice cannot be exact.... no source could be as accurate as mine.
They wouldn't have kidnapped him in the first place if you didn't put your stupid orb in his arm. But fine, he can come over. Only because I want to see him- not you. I don't care about the potential "power" I have. I'll get it out my way.
They would have, even if I was not there. They made an assumption based on no evidence. I was forced to awaken early to channel my power, and prevent his end.. but there was no reason to assume I was inside the boy prior to my razing of fools.
That is what I expected. But from my understanding, there is no way to remove it. Perhaps it is different for you.. the two of you will have to see. I did not mean to imply the power would be important.. just that I knew how to aid in preventing its outbursts. I am aware of what happened to your... I struggle to call him a Father. I assumed you would not want to take any more risks of it happening again. To someone less deserving of ire... but I suppose I was wrong. Your confidence in being able to remove it by yourself will be tested in time, and I suppose I must wish you luck. If only because another me is a rival.
I will remain dormant, as a promise to keep to prove I can be trusted. However, if the need arises... I will protect my host. Even from my counterpart, should it threaten my Chosen.
I .. ! I wouldn't do that to Cardinal! Or anyone who didn't deserve it! Father was .. an accident. It was just an accident, okay? I didn't .. I didn't want to hurt him. You did! You! I don't even remember doing it .. !
I .. I guess controlling it wouldn't be too bad. Just to prevent someone from getting hurt.
I was not saying it would be on purpose. Just that it was a risk at all. Accidents happen.. and who knows how volatile your Groudon will be, with a potential threat like me residing within my Chosen.
It was not me, per say. While I am linked to some Groudon in other worlds.. we are all separate entities. Yours is not on the list of those I am linked with. What it did is a sin of its own.
Ah, so you do see reason? I will continue to uphold my promise. Just ask, and I will grant you an answer. Otherwise.. consider me gone, once your friend has arrived. Now, I will allow Ruby to pack. They will be informed of the arrangement.
You. Little dweller of Land. I have a proposition. Would you be willing to cooperate, and listen? It is worth hearing me out.
