Many of you ask me how I got into cardiophile, so I'll tell you
I have a hazy memory from a few years ago of someone listening to my heartbeat directly with their ear. But really, and I think it started when I was in elementary school, some classmates and I were in PE and went to the bathroom for water. One of them told me her heart was beating really fast and took my hand to put it on her chest, where I could feel her racing heartbeat. Later in class, we watched animated videos about the heart, and they also showed cartoons about the human body on TV (and the ones I was most interested in were the episodes about the heart). Also, when I was little, people thought I had a heart problem, so I had a lot of doctor's appointments and had to get electrocardiograms.
At medical appointments my heart would always race and the doctors would ask me if I was nervous, and that was partly it, but on the other hand it was because I had already begun to like the heart in its entirety.
At first I thought it was a strange taste and watched videos on YouTube. Then I started to investigate a little more and discovered the name "cardiophile" and then a small community.
