I got excited when I saw that Reddit post too but when I looked on the website that they used it said the crossover with the other sites was last detected May 2018 so it's not current

i saw that, but it still serves as proof that this domain was linked to umg in some way, shape or form, even if that was back in 2018. what i find weird, though, is that it was just for may 2018 - was the website only public for that month? have they always had a .co.uk domain up and running? i became a fan in 2019 and as far as a i remember there was just the .com one.

i honestly don't think someone would take the time to put a website online, update it semi-regularly with photos people cannot trace back to anywhere else just for the fun of it. but hey, humans have surprised me before! haha

imo, the whole mystery website with cryptic photos and little to no explanation of what we're building up towards sounds like enough of a mess to be the actual band / mgmt / label. god knows things have been rough in the marketing area for them these past couple of years.

glad to know i’m not alone in thinking that because sometimes i feel like i’m going insane. they’ll claim to know x or y and loads of people take it as gospel and i’m here genuinely confused like do we not remember all the times this person was wrong / outright lying or…?

also i find it so funny people are now claiming their sources have confirmed the legitimacy of the website now that us fans have figured it out for ourselves like wow how helpful to have connections that tip you off after fandom itself has done the research! what a coincidence that this all happened at the same time!

that reddit post about the meta pixel is honestly great news (and i can’t believe i didn’t think to check that i literally work in marketing)

but anyways the meta pixel on the .co.uk website has been used for other artists on umg’s roster, more specifically capitol us and island uk which is exactly catfish’s case. so it looks like it might actually be legit and built by one of their digital marketing agencies

You can see a tiny preview on the Reddit post and it looks like it was some kind of landscape photo with mountains and a starry sky? It does kinda look like a similar style to the original fishing photo so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same person on both
