Rules and Bio
High Tide may be oblivious to many things on Earth, but something he was well aware of is how dangerous it can be to certain types of bots, especially those who chose cars or ever trucks for an altmode. Ratchet even advised against going inside this cave in particular, but Prime had a feeling there would be more energon inside and, of course, the captain tagged along. Sure it was peaceful, at least for the initial minutes of it, before part of the cave collapsed on both of them.
How wonderful that was. Thankfully, the sea mech left with very little scratches thanks to his naturally sturdier frame, only a dent on the crest above his forehelm. But the Prime apparently wasn’t as lucky as he was, given the visible dents about all over the red and blue frame.
“Hang on, Opie.” One dark servo reached out to hold the other’s arm to make him stay. He knew the Prime was stubborn, all Primes are stubborn. Sure, he didn’t want to cause High Tide concern, but it wasn’t like the latter didn’t have a light on his forehelm to see in the dark. “We ain’t goin’ far with that nasty wound o’ yers. Let me at least temporary tend t’ that until we get out o’ ‘ere.”
Optics flickering to gaze upon the other, his servo twitches at the initial grab at his arm. The faint deep vent of his fans as they cool his frame given the heated temperatures. His gaze remains focused on the other, the battle-mask that had slid into place over his face-plate was mostly reflex given the momentary danger, which could become prevalent again as he gazes over their surroundings. His frame wasn't like it used to be, the escape from Cybertron had cost so much, none of them had escaped unscathed. If there was thing the prime did not have nearly as much as he used to? It was the more defensive plating he once bore. Wounds that never would have been a cause for concern now were and that is something he at times begrudgingly has to accept.
"I would recommend that we find a more stable environment before taking up that task." The wound certainly wasn't as bad as it appeared. Even with the precious bio luminescent liquid still slowly seeping out from the cracks, perhaps it is because of how much his frame has been battered around that the prime cannot feel it just yet.
Chilling flames engulf the entire world. Pitch-dark flower, set into bloom! Appear now, Black Rose Dragon! (Credit !@maustoria )
"Get behind me."
A low tone, servos retracting in favor of blades as their escape path has been compromised, a line of vehicons in his path and his companions. Precious cargo in hand which was a few cubes of energon, needed cargo given their low fuel reserves and even he could feel the wear and tear gaining on him, having taken less and less as their fuel supplies grew more dim. He casts a gaze over his shoulder plate, gun metal hardened optics faintly glowing as he speaks.
"I'll clear a path." The titan of a mech lunges forward, abruptly as blaster shots make impact against some area's while missing him and hitting the background behind him, a sword cleaving through one as he draws attention to himself to buy precious time.
Wheels whirl, the large rig's wheels twisting against rough ground in this remote location, smoke escapes the smokestacks as metal trembles with the unusual quick movement, just as a hand morphs from metal and a frame quickly emerges from the truck that had been speeding through the forest despite the rugged terrain as a single ped slams against the dirt, spiderweb like cracks forming underneath the impact before it propels the large mech forward as the open hand curls into a fist and barely misses, intentional given he wasn't trying to actively harm and instead sharpen instincts. Wood goes flying as metal shreds through bark, his elbow hitting against it as it topples over and causes an obstruction meant to trip up his 'opponent' as the loud clink of a certain battle-mask sliding into place firmly.
It comes to a standstill, so far he hasn't pulled any actual stunts. Not like he would in a true battle, he was known to hold back immensely in any sort of spar, he never did want to hurt a comrade. But there were instances where his soft demeanor was spat at and people would demand the prime to actually give it his all. Optics remaining narrowed as they faintly glow. The precise location far from any human contact and hidden. A perfect spot for such an activity. But instead even as fists remain clenched, battle stance taken.
"Are you sure you wish to continue?"
"It would seem that I was correct in my assumption that this forest was not vacant."
If it is a spar the dinobot would like to partake in, he is not against it. However he has not taken up such an activity in a while. He might be a bit bad at holding back.
Aw, yeah! His tail is definitely wagging in excitement, fisted servos pumping into the air. It doesn't bother him none if the Prime doesn't hold back!
Then he shall start first. Albeit it's more tackling and wrestling with the Dinobot than an outright spar, leveraging his lithe frame to get the upper hand in some scenario's. Brute strength would always be on the other's side in this scenario.
He wants to punch somethin’, but there’s nothin’ to punch.
Or maybe he wants kisses and affection.
Both? He has no idea.

^ He gave up his ability to use a holoform so BumbleBee could after what Mech did.
....He's unsure how to feel on the fact Mech continues to function, making other products now? He'll have to put the threats down before they can cause harm to humans or his autobots alike.

I like to think its not just Optimus's height and strength that makes him intimidating or dangerous on the battlefield. It's his speed and flexibility. Peterbill trucks alone are fast but Optimus in maximum overdrive? Was going well past 125-150 mph (201-241 kph). Which is what the train would have been doing in episode Convoy. Sure he's not on par with Bumblebee or Arcee but if he's given a single moment of hesitation by either or someone of the same caliber or more, he can bulldoze bots like them. It only takes a moment of pause to change a chase into a wreck.
And we've also seen how fast he can catch up to the others when it matters. Not to mention in his fight against unicron we saw him bulldoze through multiple small ones and even the feet of giant ones with ease. Even if Optimus may be smaller than someone he packs a punch.
He's rather glad that so far he's successfully been off radar enough to avoid the reported troublesome mischief makers that are these grey beings. Unfortunately this also means he's not sure what to expect.
How unfortunate. That he has lost the means of using his holoform. He will simply have to remain an...observer for the mayhem ensuing.
...Clearly he needs to go back to recharge.
He's going back to recharge.
