A Time Of (technical) Sorrow
It's been a hard time lately. My work laptop died a while ago - after 3.5 years of dedicated service it just couldn't take it anymore. I don't blame it, I feel the same way sometimes. It's a terrible thing to be an advanced computer (or programmer) and have to work on software that is so ancient. Should have my new one by the end of the week.
Had a power outage at home also which totally screwed up the wifi on my HP Photosmart C309. What a piece of crap. A search on the internet shows this is a common problem. I hate printers at the best of times but they always seem to be crappy, unserviceable an have overpriced ink.
My home desktop computer (iMac) didn't go unscathed either. It suffered some data corruption which stopped any of my iDevices from syncing. Turned out to be rather easy to fix, just had to follow this: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1747?viewlocale=en_US
On the plus side I upgraded my iMac mini from 1G to 4G memory with Snow Leopard Server- runs very nicely on the home network! Tonight I plan to upgrade the HDD in my iMac from it's standard 250G to a shiny new 1T drive.

Complex Recurring Events
I've just released TitusCrow - a PHP library for handling complex schedules of recurring events. It's licensed as GPL so you can use it for non-commercial applications.
The library can be found on GitHub at https://github.com/alchemycs/TitusCrow
I hope to be getting some examples together sometime over the next week or so, but please feel free to ask me any questions.
