Yesterday I announced my Smooth & Free plan on @codyapp! If you’ve been looking to create a more well rounded Yoga practice, to energize and explore your physical body while also injecting soothing restorative work into your daily practice, this is the plan for you :) codyapp.com/smoothfree This plan is designed to provide you with a well-rounded practice that will rejuvenate you both physically and mentally. There are 6 videos that will repeat over the course of a month to build your physical toolkit, polish your mental focus, drop the ego, and add a lighthearted approach to your daily Yoga. The three flow classes will have you moving and breathing while the two restoratives guide you towards introspection and grounding. The final class is a centering Pranayama breathing practice I use specifically during bouts of stress, anxiety, allergies, or asthma to help calm my mind and and bring ease to my respiratory and nervous system as a whole. These are real life practices designed for everybody and every BODY. Bringing Yoga into your daily routine will not only guide you toward a new found appreciation for your amazing body but also toward new found muscular strength, movement, and an appreciation for the real benefits of self-care.

not sure any pose feels better than this one. Gomukhasana the katonah way.
handstand smandstand. no, not everything is yoga. this is a handstand on the side of a street in Portland. sure, yes, sometimes handstands are a part of my asana practice but let's be real that yoga is so much more than that. more than handstands. more than asana. more than just moving on your mat. more than just showing up to hour of power twice a week. there's more and you know it. your body knows it, your mind knows it, and your spirit most certainly knows it. look harder. show up. do the practice. give yourself and our collective energy the gift of peace and breath and spirituality and observation and discernment and stand on your hands, or your head or your fingertips or your toes. you can have light hearted, beautiful, fun, challenging, freeing handstands and all the rest. you can have it all. you just have to show up and do the damn practice. the whole practice.
hi there, yesterday I just had a really shitty day, one if those dark days without any positive thought, just hiding in bed and being miserable and not liking myself for no reason. I crossed your blog and read almost everything, I felt way better afterwards and I wanted to thank you for this. I wish I could once take a class with you so I'll have to travel across the ocean. You guys are awesome, thank you for being so positive and helpful. much love. Marianne
I'm so glad you took the time reach out, I can certainly say I know the feeling. sometimes getting immersed in something is exactly what you need to get out of your own head! Would be lovely to have you in class! We'll be teaching in Europe/Asia/Australia quite a bit next year maybe it'll happen!
good morning ⛅ I really really love your blog, it's absolutely amazing! ❤ can you remember when you started tumblring? best wishes 🌌
A few years atleast! I've been personal tumblr-ing on my other non-yoga page tumblr.com/freshsheets for quite a few years, this one is newer :)
i love that this practice constantly requires you to reorient yourself. over and over and over again. where are you now? what do you need to find (and re-find) center? north. south. east. west. everything pushes and pulls. drawing together to bring you back home even if just for that fleeting moment(s). and then there you are again. out place. shifted. what do you need to find center, right now, in this moment?
There are always options. What can your practice give you today?
Hello yoga, thanks for being there today.
| Sometimes life is like this dark tunnel, you can’t always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you just keep moving, you will come to a better place |
my buddy, my buddy wherever I go, (s)he go
less busy. more here + now.
let go of your earthly tether. enter the void.
oh hi what are you doing... Oh, oh is this thing on? Okay, okay I'm ready for my close up.

Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now.
