You know what I love about the Monkees?? Almost every Monkees fan seems to love them because the Monkees make them happy. And I’m not saying that they weren’t talented musicians/actors/comedians (because they were amazing and wickedly multitalented) but that rarely seems to be anyone’s first reason for falling in love with them. It has little to do with the quality of their music or show. It’s more about the fact that without fail, the Monkees can brighten your day. And IMO that is a really good reason to be in love with something.
