Got Caught Playing DnD 🐉 (My Rules Below)

Got to use my new back patio space with friends last night to begin our new campaign! And it was so cozy!!

Also yes, my body may have changed but my core makeup is still very much nerd lol... For those interested outside of all those cute candids my friends were taking:

Our first session is what we call "Character Roulette": Instead of coming in with one prebuilt character, you all bring three with light backstory, and over the course of two sessions, the inciting incident of the campaign is designed to wipe out two of your three characters, leaving you the one remaining character to play through the rest of the campaign with.

That means, we had 9 characters last night, who all begin to form relationships quickly and get fleshed out in cool ways when you put pressure and action on everyone right away. Ultimately, you find that you really bond with the remaining character to play with, because by the time the first two sessions are done, you already have a built in sad backstory lol

It also makes you really have to kind of pick and make sacrifices to see what character you may or may not want to save for yourself, but also everybody else's...

Anyway, I love being a nerd lol
