Third suggestion that's not etsy (please comment below)
Remaining time: 2 hours 12 minutes
I ask because I have been trying to build my crochet business for years (among other things) and I want to pic something that will help me further that. I know etsy is the easiest answer for many, but with all the things going on with etsy, I'd rather take my chances elsewhere. That's why I never moved off Ebay despite it being more geared to reselling used goods than home made stuff. (I think that may be part of my problem too!)
I wouldn't get rid of my ebay, I'd simply start adding my stuff to a new shop as well.
You can acknowledge a character's complexity, backstory, and motives, and still dislike them. Complex characters don't always translate to "likable". it just means there are layers to them. and sometimes those characters are either layered cakes, layered onions, or layers in a land fill that are continually recovered with dirt.
Like no matter how much of a sob story a character might have, or how their actions are perfectly explainable , or even if the story paints them in a specific light- you do not get a pass to hurt other because you yourself are hurt. An explanation isn't an excuse.
No , not every character needs to be nice or morally upstanding. not everyone needs to be a saint. Its a character at the end of the say. And any character archetype old or new can hold a wealth of complexity. I've come across plenty of complex characters and understood their situations and I can appreciate their inclusions in the story as well as them being antagonistic (hell , protagonists in some stories). I've dissected them, researched them, ect. Complexity encompasses a myriad of things for a character like : traits, backstory, tendencies, good, bad, and neutral actions. Regardless of all that, I can still dislike them. Sometimes an azzhole is an azzhole and not everybody likes em. consider it a flavor
(Side note: Its OK to dislike a person and distance yourself while still understanding their situation. Their mental health may be important but yours is too. You can't help someone who DOESN'T WANT IT. )

Some more pixel art practice in pixsquare. I wanna build up to animation in it but for now I’ll focus on pixel artwork. I’m trying to think of it like lineless rendering.

I got a merch shop! (keychains, stickers, prints galore )
Shop Detail
Yeah I went ahead and got an acggoods account. I wanted to try it out. i don't have room for merch and I find print on demand pretty advantageous at this time. I really wanted to have some merch for moonlit lemonade and mache and mata (among others) just because. I am adding more to it as I go, doubly excited for the pins and key chains. I've been wanting to make a keychain for Oya for so long!
AND STICKER SHEETS! This thing makes sticker sheets, i already got two stickers up as we speak. Here's a lovecore one-
-And my fun-gals one!

So I have three other shops shops. totaling 4. no i don't have a problem.
One for my physical work (crochet):
Follow lutea-arts on eBay. Buying, Selling, Collecting on eBay has never been more exciting!
One for my Ko-fi (you can get crochet patterns , digital comics and books I've made, commissions, digital wallpapers, and more):
I do comics, cartoons , and crochet.
Art is my bread and butter, and I have a myriad of ways to show it. Come support me for comics, anima
One for T-shirts (thinking of getting rid of this one, honestly):
So I still plan on making crochet patterns for moonlit lemonade (which will also be on my ko-fi and raverly). Working on a couple as we speak.

Shop options for merch: acggoods and wooacry (can be used jointly)
something to consider whenever i want to try my hand at a merch shop again. kinda reminds me of redbubble. you have the option to sell through the site or buy in bulk and sell in your own site (at least with wooacry.) Some items made in wooacry can be sold in your acg store frint (which is claimed to be free but they take a percentage of every purchas being that they handle shipping, handling , and manufacturing. due consider.). I thought I'd share it here while I remember.
site:
Easily sell your custom products worldwide. Open your store in minutes, make money online.
and
Wooacry is a custom on demand platform that focuses on ‘order from one piece’, supports live previewing and online ordering.Customized acryl
Thats right, I can crochet your oc in different styles , custom made , and mail it to you. It’s around that time of the month and this is basically a job for me . XD Kate me make your plushy dreams come true! (I can make hats and bags based off your ocs as well too!)

I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here but stay aware of the data centers being built around your towns. Ai isn't free, it was never free. from jacked up electricity builds. building in black and low income neighborhoods, poisoning local people and environment, and literally stealing fresh water. Those still pushing ai as a need and not the wasteful want it is are usually complicit in such inhumane actions as this. I highly advise to stop using ai, you are paying for it one way or another.
I can not properly describe how much i hate this and anything generative ai adjacent.
(lets see of tumblr marks this too. please share this around.)
(TLDR: I am sharing vids that helped me, i used the program like any other graphic program pre-2022, and I turned the ai sharing off. I am also using a free account on the figma website. which makes it easier to avoid most ai features because a lot of them are paywalled. Lastly, with the free account they limit how many files you can have, but regardless you can save your files locally (on your device) and import them back when you want to open them again. there, full workaround if you have to or want to learn figma. I hope this helps. )
Long version: : This is if you have to use figma but don;t want to touch any of the ai mess. I am doing some testing and operating on free account. I've been seeing a fair amount of graphic jobs asking or requiring experience with it so I decided to dabble with it. I found it be be riddled with ai and continuously pushing it but luckily it was a functional program pre- genai so I'm able to use it just fine without touching any of it.
I was able to make these the other day. Might be shabby but I did it. Both done without gen ai and with the available tools allotted. So yes you very much can use Figma without touching its ai just fine.
...I question the ethics of still using programs that incorporate gen ai, even if you don't use gen ai itself, you are still using a program that contains it. Maybe by nit using such ai features it shows the company you aren't interested in those aspects they keep shoving and it still does something positive, or simply using it is allowing them the excuse to keep cramming such environmentally and socially damaging tech into the general public? Idk. Its something to consider. But if You HAVE to use figma but have concerns of it's gen ai then rest assured you can use figma just fine without it .
Even better, They were also sure to place most ai usage behind a paywal so a free account makes it even easier to avoid- with the caveat that it severely limits the number of save files you can have for each version of said program. 3 for design , 3 for figmajam , 3 for slides, ect. which I think its shot out because Canva doesn't limit you and it does a lot of the same things but that's just me. Industry standard doesn't always mean good or fair, it means whatever most used monopily or standard the industry uses the most. Adobe is a good example, especially since it sucks but its competitors don't get the same lime light because its so stuck as "standard" despite being subpar in a lot of ways...But I digress.
I hate that several graphic programs/software have shoehorned gen ai into their services but juts because they are crammed in there doesn't mean you have to use em. (And in some cases pay for them. ew.)
Here's how to turn off training for ai (I don't trust it and believe its superficial but its something I am sure can be used in court later.)
it isn't beyond me that they made the ai training off switch so tucked away but here is a visual to go with the vid.
I genuinely don't see why companies feel entitled to our work without pay but expect us to accept it being sold back to us? I am not your employee, you don't get my work. You spamming ads to me on my account should be payment enough...
Now if your employer tries to force you to use ai, that is a different story. (Can be hard looking for a new job in this market but if an employer has to force me to use something unneeded that impedes my work and morals, I'd start looking in other places. Perhaps employ malicious compliance?) But If left to your own devices and with no hireups meddling, You really don't need to use any of the ai and you don't have to. the program works like any other graphic software pre-2022.
Speaking of pre-2022, I have a couple of videos that help you learn Figma without the gen ai shilling a lot of folks are doing now a days. (I hated that they flooded the search when I tried to look for beginner tutorials so here are some for you and me.)
and
Or to keep it simple , you can just search figma tutorial vids before the date 2022. (And If you already figured that out then you good to go!)
Even with all of that, I still prefer affinity suite for my graphics.
