     “ good, gonna fit in well. ” she said with a quiet snicker, raising a brow at him. “ takin’ it easy while tryna dominate the world ... yeah can’t see that happenin’ ‘round here. ” she shook her head a bit, gaze falling back on him afterwards. “ mhm. ” she mumbled, nibbling on her bottom lip in curiousity before tilting her head to the side. “ what are the chances that you take it as offensive if i ask you ... what you are ? i ain’t really good at tellin’ myself. ”

a laugh. a rather loud one made its way past mason’s lips at caroline’s words. he stuck out his tongue at her before he playfully flipped her off. ❝ my stomach isn’t that delicate!! ❞ he snorted, shaking his head. he had missed that, not the flying thing considering it was the first time, but just them being able to have fun, to not having to worry about what was happening outside their apartment’s door, at least for a little while. ❝ you mean…i can just swim around? ❞ he asked, not even hiding the excitment. brows furrowing as he focused on trying to move around, kicking his legs almost as if he really was swimming.

     seeing him literally swim in the air was the most amusing thing she had seen in the past week ... maybe even for longer than that. “ you lookin’ ridiculous ... ” said caroline as she laughed along, taking her eyes off him for the first time when she closed her eyes, shaking her head. but that was when she felt the force shift, making her open her eyes immediately to see mason start to fall. “ oh boy ! ” she yelled as she rushed to where he seemingly fell right onto his bum, and had it not been for her slight worry, caroline would have laughed hard at the sight. “ y’good, gingersnap ? ”

After the realization from his actions her immediately let her go. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have grabbed you like that. Are you okay? I could treat you as an apology.” Minho mentally kicked himself for his actions. He was sure her Aunt would find out sooner or later and scold him.

     “ nah ‘s fine, i’ve been just jumpy lately. ” caroline waved a hand dismissively, giving a shrug of her shoulders as she smiled. considering his offer for a moment, she decided to go with him; what could possibly go wrong anyway ? “ a’right, i’m in. what’re we havin’ ? ”

The images of his brother once again haunted him. It was just an illusion. His brother couldn’t back from the dead. Deep down Minho knew the possibly was alot stronger than his was going to admitted. Without thinking he grabbed the nearest person and ask, “Hey I’m hungry. Wanna grab something with me?”

     “ oh boy ! ” exclaimed caroline after being suddenly grabbed and stopped by someone, quick to turn her head to look at the person. seeing him she calmed down, at least enough to not throw a punch immediately. “ you scared the blue outta my jeans. ” she said, letting out a nervous chuckle. “ ... you payin’ ? ”

his mind had difted off to other thoughts, like always, it would be a miracle if his brain didn’t go a mile a minute. and that’s why he didn’t realize it at first, not till he felt himself being lifted from the couch. a yelp almost leaving his mouth but that was soon replaced by a loud laugh. letting himself enjoy the feeling of literally floating mid air, he’d never stop being amazed by what caroline could do. ❝ YEAH!! ❞ the werewolf grinned, head turning to look at her with his eyesbrows raised.  ❝ more action? bring it up, ‘line. ❞

     seeing his reaction, a fond smile spread across caroline’s lips, heart filling with warmth. mason was really important to her; he was the first real friend she got in wilshire and soon enough became the best. so seeing him so happy and content without all the bullshit that the shadow world was lately was really refreshing. “ if you throw up on me though, imma flippin’ kill you, strawberry shortcake. ” she grinned before focusing more, trying to give him more control over his movements up there, turning him upside down in the process. a giggle then slipped past her lips at the sight. “ mase, try to move yourself ! ”

the werewolf pulled a face, holding back the whine that was on the tip of his tongue. ❝ it was a heavy book, you gotta give yourself some credit. ❞ he nodded, almost as if he decided to listen just to what he wanted and not to the whole thing. ❝ plus i’m not a book, i’m a very alive werewolf, so i wouldn’t really fall flat on the ground, i still have some badass reflex. ❞ he muttered thoughtfully, though he didn’t push it, letting himself fall back down onto the couch. ❝ i just think we need some fun. ❞

     sighing, she kept looking at mason, considering his words. sure, they were not convincing enough but what he last said was. maybe they needed the distraction and caroline thought maybe if it was someone as important as the redhead before her, her focus would be less easy to distract. so she focused, eyes on the werewolf, and after a few seconds he was starting to float already. a smile growing on her lips, caroline crossed her arms as she kept her eyes on her best friend. “ so... is it fun yet or would you like more action up there ? ”

❝ oh c’mon! ❞ mason whined, pulling a face right after while he was standing on the couch, towering over their living room. ❝ just a little floating around ❞ he added, this time pouting as he turned in the direction of caroline. ❝ you did it with the book the other day. ❞ @caroliincs

     “ mason - ” caroline groaned, running a hand down her face as she sighed. hands then moved down to rest on her hips, she looked up at her roommate. “ yes - it was a book, idiot ! and remember how it fell with a loud thud after a minute or two. ” in all honesty, what she feared wasn’t her powers not being enough; it was her powers being too much.

It was always like that; a new place meant exploring the bars, and, for most of the time, it helped the old warlock paint a picture of the place he had found himself in. 

     “ why would it be ? got some bad reputation ‘round here or somethin’ ? ” caroline questioned when she was directed another question initially, stopping to sip on her drink for a brief moment as she studied the person next to her. “ i think ‘s just because we just wrapped up our gig, people usually start to leave once the live music is over. ”
