Kingsley Shacklebolt was elected as the Acting Minister for Magic. He has proved his commanding stature, leading everyone from out of post-war destruction, through a complete, social reform. Kingsley’s personal values and beliefs for equality and fairness have become his own, radical agenda. The Ministry has taken action, shutting down corrupt businesses, and weeding out the out-dated notion of blood supremacy and prejudices of social class. The majority Death Eaters attempted to flee; many were captured and put on trial for their heinous crimes against the wizarding community. With the support of the Ministry, Hogwarts has been reopened as the beloved school is has been known as for centuries, with a few important differences.

The latest development, a raised bar of the standard requirements for Ministry careers in the offices and several positions. New graduates must work harder to meet the qualities of employment in the Ministry, including achieving higher results on their NEWTs. Everyone in Harry Potter’s year has been strongly recommended to return to finish their education as 8th years. But they aren’t the only ones making their return. Now, as the new term starts in the beginning of October, things are slowly on their way to feel normal again. Headmistress McGonagall believes it’s her duty to be supportive of these unusual, new curriculums between 8th years and Already-graduated students. It’s a post-war Shacklebolt-society and all the students are in the same boat of this new experience and fresh start. Every student at Hogwarts knows that they walk on ashes every day. No one can forget the war that was fought on these hallowed grounds. No one has completely healed. Some will never heal.
