akangezekiel:
It was going to be but a difficult journey, he knew this already to be true. His guest companion was someone that he’d never traveled with before. In his subconscious, he could already hear the irritation of Samuel, having allowed her to travel out this far on a trip from the Kingdom and back. Still, there were plenty of others with them and he had told her to bring anything she’d need if there was an emergency. If anything, they would have too much. As usual, he sang praises, “For someone who insists he is not a king, Samuel has certainly earned the title.” He didn’t mind being candid, his relationship with Samuel was well known within the community. He made no attempts to hide the man that he was in love with. “We will be there hopefully by nightfall. If not, we will make camp and continue into the dawn of morrow. With an auto, it takes far less time.”
carolyn smiled and nodded in agreement. she looked up to samuel and ezekiel both, in similar ways. they were both leaders in their own ways. she loved how they weren’t afraid to hide their relationships either. carolyn always dreamed of meeting her own knight in shining armor, but she kept those thoughts to herself. there were way more things to worry about than finding a boyfriend. especially if she wouldn’t be on the earth for much longer. it was cruel to make someone fall for you then leave them so quickly. “okay.” she turned her head to look out the window, watching with a small, dreamy grin. she couldn’t remember the last time she’d been in a moving vehicle. it’s been a while, to say the least. it made her feel important. like she was taking part in something. finally. she looked back to the king and let out a soft, exuberant laugh, nose scrunching up as her feet tapped on the floor with all her eagerness. it was almost exciting. something this minor easily made her so happy. maybe, if she was lucky, they would let her do these things more often.
