3/6/20 I’m really glad the concept of this project came together in the end as it incorporated everything I wanted to do/needed for my portfolio. I hadn’t done package design for any previous project and prototyped an app so i’m glad I could execute these things. This concept is also something I am truly passionate about - with it being vegan and low-waste, this was by far the project I’ve most enjoyed doing. i definitely could’ve pushed the package design further, but given the current circumstances and availability to resources, I had to make to with what I had. I think I really enjoyed it because it required me to utilise a wide range of skills - photo editing/art direction/styling/hand lettering/illustration/UX/UI/package design/video editing - as I’m one who has an interest in all of these things and don’t just like to stick to one particular field. This project really pushed me with my art direction and I really enjoyed it! I would definitely like to do more of this in future.

really tried playing around with the embossed effect but just can't seem to get it right - i think i'll just stick to the white ink although i think it would've looked really good with the subtle gloss.

28/5/20 Can’t believe this was my last EVER tutorial. For life. Such a strange feeling but glad I managed to get the work I needed to get done for feedback. Photoshoots aren’t my most favourite thing but it had to be done to photograph the product. Thankfully my place has quite a bit of natural light so I could get decent shots. The feedback for the photos were good - just some comments on adding more contrast (e.g. shadows) for the box picture, which I’ll try to do on Photoshop. the comments were helpful but I feel like they were more finishing/extra touches so I’ll see if I have time to do them. Funny how this is the only time I’ve spent so much time on Photoshop, but really learning lots of new tricks and skills! also glad the app prototype walkthrough was approved because I wasn’t sure if it needed more detail or playfulness. I still want to do a quick snappy advert of making the milk so we’ll see if I have time to do that! Things are coming together nicely so I just need to see how to best present all the information and designs on a PDF.
