LOGAN LERMAN photographed by Sela Shiloni for The Hollywood Reporter
Dylan was sure he had plenty of flaws and if he asked any of his exes they could write a list but he was glad that Logan thought he was perfect. "You have to say that since you're also my best friend." Actually Logan knew Dylan's flaws but they were nonexistent now that they were together. "It used to be more about sex with everyone else and sex doesn't mean we cuddle. I did with some of them because they were very persuasive but it's not something I offer up except to you Lou and Tony." Every part of Dylan wanted to just ask Logan to be his husband but he needed to be sure that it wasn't too soon and that it wouldn't cause him to back off on things.
The restaurant was one of Dylan's favorites because he could get breakfast, lunch or dinner there and of course dessert. "I'm driving, I enjoy driving you around and letting you control the radio." He always drove, it was just a quirk of his. He got in and drove them to the IHOP and then held the door for Logan to enter. "Do you know what you want?" He asked as a waitress came and came them menus.
Shaking his head, “no. As your best friend, I’m supposed to lay out the truths. If you had flaws, I would still tell you. I’ve never shied away from that before.” Logan would always tell Dylan about his flaws, or if there was something of concern about how he acted. But he only ever did it out of the love for the other man, even when they were just best friends. He wanted nothing but the best for him. He understood why Dylan didn’t cuddle with everyone. It was just sex, and even Logan would be that way when he’d sleep with random people. But if Logan was dating someone, his love language was always cuddling.
Logan sat down at the table, across from his boyfriend. His eyes looked down at the menu, and he went through the breakfast items. “I do. I’ll take the cheesecake pancakes combo and an iced coffee.” He told the waitress as he handed the menu back to her. Once she took the other man’s order, Logan reached for Dylan’s hand on top of the table. “So what do you want to do after we eat? Got plans for the day?”
Dylan shrugged his shoulders and laughed. "Okay, you're not perfect." He faked a hurt expression and shook his head. "I think I'm pretty damn perfect. Are you saying that I have flaws?" He definitely did but he was trying not to let them show and be the best version of him that he could be. "If you turned it down then I would know you were sick, or think someone had cloned you. I think you like it as much as I do or damn near close." It was still a fresh relationship but they had known each other so long that it didn't feel like it. They felt like an old married couple that bickered in jest and them enjoyed 'making up.' It was all a part of their charm. "I like cuddling with you. Take that as a win since you know that's not something everyone gets. Some of my exes would have died to get to cuddle with me and here I am offering it for free, no begging, no tears, no arguing, just cuddles." He couldn't deny that was part of the allure of it. "I do like you on your knees." A quip about next time bring a ring almost left his lips but that was a crazy thought and he ran his hands through his boyfriends hair instead.
"I love being pampered and soaped up. Not that I'm lazy but I won't ever complain about your hands being on me." Dylan stepped out and dried himself off and pondered the breakfast question. "What about IHOP? Their french toast is the die for." Dylan asked as he got dressed and followed Logan downstairs. "All ready." He said as he grabbed his car keys. "After you, baby."
He saw the fake hurt expression, but Logan was sure his eyes said something else. His thumb and index finger cupped his chin, and he bent to kiss him. “You are perfect, and you don’t have any flaws. At least not with me.” Logan had seen Dylan’s flaws through the years, but he had truly become a better person since the two became a couple. “I do take it as a win. I love that I don’t have to beg for a little cuddle session from you. That you’re so willing to let me just snuggle up against you whenever I want.” Logan would never push cuddling with Dylan, he never wanted his boyfriend to feel pressured into something that made him uncomfortable in anyway shape or form. A smirk tugged on his lips, “good. It’s my favorite place to be,” Logan nipped at Dylan’s thighs softly before he moved back up his body.
“IHOP sounds good,” Logan agreed as he finished getting ready. He let the dogs out once more to make sure they would be okay while the men were out of the house. “You driving?” Logan asked, handing Tony a treat and then Louie one. Logan wasn’t complaining, he was starting to enjoy being the passenger prince for Dylan at times. He walked out of the house, and then got into the passenger seat of Dylan’s car.
katiecassidy: exactly! thank you for putting it into words for me lol. can barely remember what day it is without looking at my phone
loganlerman: you're welcome! I get it. I never know what day it is either. Especially if I'm not working.
dylanobrien: and i know all your secrets and you know where all my bodies are buried so we're stuck together.
loganlerman: we're one of those, going to have to kill the other if we break up lol.
dylanobrien: i got lucky. someone that knows i'm a jerk and still loves me.
loganlerman: you did get very lucky. i loved you as a friend, so there was no doubt i'd love you as a partner, boo.
dylanobrien: took us awhile but we got where we were supposed to get.
loganlerman: we did get there, and I'm glad we did.
dylanobrien: i always knew you were a smart guy.
loganlerman: i am! i know what i want, and what i want has always been you.
dylanobrien: and yet i still stood next to you. i must be a keeper.
loganlerman: you are a keeper, i've known that since day 1
dylanobrien: you were even cute as a blonde but i prefer the brunette hair. @carpelogan
loganlerman: lighter hair is definitely not a look for me.
