Demetrius had no idea that Estonia was going to get back into music until he heard the song on the radio. He thought big decisions like this included the two of them, but it apparently didn’t. Had she come to him he would have told her that it wasn’t a good look. Estonia was an established R&B singer, and now she was rapping trap music while pregnant. It didn’t fit the brand, but he just now got back in town to speak to her face to face.

Dem walked into the studio and spoke to everybody. “Let me speak to you real quick. Everybody give us the room please.” He spoke sternly.

Essence Press Conference

How did you feel when you heard the news about being the next CEO of Essence inc.?

I felt blessed to be someone that they would trust with their company. Yesterday, when the news dropped I got a ton of flack for being unqualified for the positions. I graduated from NYU with a MBA is Business Management, I’ve skyrocketed numerous artists careers, and I’ve been able to run a production company all at the same time, and I’m only thirty. I would like to say to those in doubt that everything is under control. Next question.

We hear that you already have a new festival in the works?

Yes, the New Year Kickoff will be a concert with all the proceeds going to Concerned Black Men of America, and we’ll even have our own ball.

Will your wife and her new group be performing?

No.

It has been announced that the new CEO of Essence inc. is Demetrius Cartier. The Press Conference is Saturday.

Demetrius’ life had been on the up and up, and he was glad that he was able to come home. The awards were good, but he wanted to be up under his babies. Plus, he had some news for Estonia. “Where my babies at!” He yelled through the house with her favorite snack in hand.

“Have you thought of names yet? “ He planted soft kisses on her belly as he rubbed her sides. These days it was like he couldn’t keep his hands off her.

Demetrius’ life had been on the up and up, and he was glad that he was able to come home. The awards were good, but he wanted to be up under his babies. Plus, he had some news for Estonia. “Where my babies at!” He yelled through the house with her favorite snack in hand.

Estonia was a busy little pregnant wife. She was already showing now. They still didn’t know the gender of the babies. Yes babies, Stoni was expecting two beautiful twins. She was shocked, if she had known her first time would be having not one but two little ones? She may have waited longer. Dem was beyond excited. She was honored to have them. “In here.”

Stoni was taking all her Christmas stuff out. She had extra hands from the staff but she mainly wanted to do things herself. She had the awards on the tv. She was honored to get an award with Jude, the song deserved it.

“Hey babe, how was the show?”

“You know how award shows go.” Dem walked up to Estonia and gave her a peck on the lips as he rubbed on her stomach. Twins, that is going to be a lot to handle, but he knew that the two of them were going to be able to handle it all. Especially, since during the first few months of the twins’ lives his mother will be coming up to help. “Congrats on the award babe.” He sat the bag with her goodies in it down, and took a seat. “So, I gotta call back from Mark, and the building is yours.” They were working so much, so when the babies came they were able to take a breath at least until they were one. “So everything is lock and loaded when you’re ready.”

“Oh my goodness that’s good news babe!” She got up and embraced him with a hug and a neck and face full of kisses.” She has been working extra hard on her line and now that Dem settled on a buildlng, and everything for their family was coming together. “How’s everything going with your Artist?

“Good, the EP is about to drop. I have a good feeling about her bae.” Dem smiled, because the last person he felt this way about was his brother. Before Nehemiah went to jail, the first time, he tried music but got in his own way. When he came out Dem thought that he was going to do music again, but he told him otherwise. It was a big blow, but a weight lifted off his shoulders. “Also, Essence wants to do an interview with us and put us on the cover. I guess January’s issue is going to be about Black Love, and how it took precedence in 2018.” A workaholic is what he was, but nobody could ever say his family wasn’t eating at the table they bought, with the food they purchased.

“You and Essence “ She shook her head proudly. “They love you, they just want me to tag along.” She joked. “Dem was the successor of the two of them. Stoni was coming into her own but it was so secret that she married a mogul. People loved him and she just hoped that she would fit the mold. “Black love is beautiful and that’s why I love you so much.” She unwrapped him and felt on her tummy. “Looks like you two are going to have your first photo shoot.” She took Dems hands and placed them on her tummy.

“As long as Essence keeps cutting them checks I’m a keep showing up.” Dem laughed as he placed his hands on her belly. It was cool that people looked at them for answers on love, but they knew that it wasn’t easy getting to this point, and he couldn’t believe that they made it this far. They were blessed beyond measure. “I wouldn’t mind having a boy and a girl to be real with you. That way he always gonna be around to crack a nigga head open when I aint around.” He said it in a cute baby voice to make it seem less violent.

Stoni finished up with Miah and headed to the studio to pop in on Dem which was her plan anyway. A baby. Who would have thought. They came a long way for this and it was finally happening.

When she got there, she locked her doors and went in to his studio. She smiled and waved at the crew before letting herself in. “Hey babe.” She kissed his lips as he sat down at the soundboard.

When Dem got back to the states he had to get moving. He was about to open up a label, he was about to work with Reebok, and not to mention the many things he was doing with his wife. Life was busy right now, but it was happy. Dem woke up mornings happy to wake up, and it took him a minute to get to that point.

When Estonia came in he was working with this potential client, Tiffany Bleu. She was a stripper that was ready to use other talents than seduction. “What’s going on baby.” He gave her a kiss, and stood up. “Everybody give us a minute, Tiffany stay in the booth for a second.” He sat back down, and brought his attention back on her. “How ya day been?”

Stoni, being the lady That she was , classically checked for the chick in the booth. She examined her and saw that there wasn’t anything to worry about. She then looked to her husband. “Busy busy busy I see.” She sat down and crossed her legs, making sure to show every beautiful frame of her legs. “I sat down with your brother actually, just got back from meeting him. I wanted to check with him, make sure he was staying out of trouble and other things like that.” She looked at Tiffany than back to him, “You two cooking up some sauce?”

“Glad yall two are good. Less stress for me to bear.” Dem appreciated Es, because she always made sure the family was good. Her and Miah never got along, but with time they’ve reached a great place. “Actually I’m thinking about managing her, and signing her when the label opens.” He wanted her input on what she thought about the artist. This time around he made sure to always inform her of things like this.

Stoni gave her honest input. “She can definitely hold her own. I think you have something.” She kept it short and sweet. “I have someone else for you to manage, they’re not here yet, but will be verrrrry soon. “ she slid him the positive pregnancy test. “You think you can manage?”

Demetrius thought he was hearing wrong when she broke the news to him. The smile that appeared on his face was uncontrollable. He leaned over and pecked her lips almost fifty times. Dem then got down and started kissing her stomach. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” He couldn’t stop blushing from all the love she was getting right now. If he wasn’t so busy, she’d probably have her legs wide open with him in between them. “So it’s safe to ask now, what do you think we may have?”

"Not to be selfish, but I wouldn't mind a lil man." Dem chuckled, because being a father was on his list of lige goals. He rubbed her belly as he sat across from her. "How far along are we?" Tiffany stepped out.
