After dethroning Scarlemagne, Kipo and the Brunch Bunch face a more daunting foe: Dr. Emilia, who plots to eliminate mutekind to make the surface “safe” for humans. But Kipo has an optimistic vision of a world where mutes and humans get along with each other. To achieve that dream, she must lean on her friends and rise to a role she may not be ready for.

Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts season 2 review

4.5 Stars.

I loved this season. I liked the first but if I had to rate it I would’ve given it a pretty average 3, it had potential, I liked some parts but a lot of it felt slow, like filler, a typical, young kids show where it’s very episodic, and I know that was important for world-building but it didn’t mean I wish the major plot hadn’t had more of an effect on those slower episodes.

But this season was great, they had a plot in every episode, they made the characters more complex, there was action and danger but it was still lighthearted when it had to be and emotional when it had to be. I love how they handled the antagonists of the show, for a kids show it was wonderful. They really explored the effect of actions, loving family and friends, they pulled things back from season 1 and rounded them out.

I do still think the animation can at times be a bit too awkward, I wish they upped the frame rate sometimes, but I guess that’s expensive and it’s not too bad either.

I really think this was such a good season and I’m really excited for the next one, I hope they get one.

The Hollow season 2 trailer just dropped and it looks so good, the animation is so much smoother, the story looks interesting, Adam had the gay pride flag on his wall, the music was a jam, I am reeling I cannot wait for next week

New season of Haikyuu!! confirmed during an event at JUMP Festa today. The event to kick-off the new season (aka announcement of airing date and other details, etc.) will be held on 22 Sept 2019, with the seiyuu of Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima, Yamaguchi and Kozume attending. (This highly suggests that Haikyuu!! S4 will air sometime in 2020 after Production IG is done with KazeTsuyo and after all the other JUMP anime that are being hyped atm have aired earlier in 2019.)
