Reminder that there are 5 days left to sign up for September’s Edition of Profiction Pigeon. This is also the first edition!! You have until August 20th, then any signups after that will be for October’s edition.

It’s actually a legitimate story, not just a commentary on anti-censorship or fandom, with adorable pigeons living in a post-censorship and post-government surveillance world trying to stay alive when people can’t learn new ideas anymore because of the take over of AI and increasing illiteracy. In this dark world, the pigeons have become viewed wholly as pests to be completely eradicated from all human cities and towns due to propaganda and everyone having forgotten they were our pets.

The pigeons need to learn how to make sense of a human world to survive by becoming smarter than them and they learn how to read, write and make their own fiction to retrace human history where AI deleted it to learn what may have gone wrong in human society to learn how to get to a better life.

Legitimately, it’s meant to be as dark as series like The Animals of Farthing Wood and I think people would enjoy it a lot!

It’s not just a mail club to be cozy profiction/proship reassurance, but a story that has the characters actually learn where the lines are between fiction and reality, and especially dark fiction to double as helpful educational material.

For the mail club, I will try to keep letters more episodic so new subscribers can jump in at any time even if they miss a month, but my ultimate goal was to be able to make this an ongoing series as a video audiobook with heavy illustrations for everyone to see released publicly online, and the mail club was going to help fund it.

I hope you’ll check it out. I am a professional who used to work in the animation industry as a storyboard artist, so I do have real story skills and this project is so purposeful to me and needs to exist. I want to make stories and indie animation cartoons that have a bigger purpose in a world that can’t talk about what is happening to us right here right now in any of its mainstream fictional media.

I’m very aware of the quality, apologies for it looking unprofessional, I had to stitch this together within an hour because I’m like on a tight deadline to try to get my work visible before I die (literally) because I don’t make enough to sustain myself and already mostly live out of my car ;-;

Im so sad I really think people would love my projects if they knew what I was making and doing.

Indie animation studio is my dream and if I can just have my housing guaranteed and in a safe place I could do so much so much faster.

The fictional world of The Sad Dog Is Blue follows a background storyline where some uninspired, soulless, crypto tech bro decides to AI generate a bunch of blue dog cartoons to plaster on print-on-demand products to dropship and sell on e-commerce platforms with the intent to get-rich-quick. The character becomes controversially famous after he publishes a children's book written and illustrated entirely with AI: The Sad Dog Is Blue.

Meanwhile, the Sad Dog is unfortunately aware of her miserable existence as an AI-generated abomination, and has loud feelings about it. These stickers are here to comfort you through the horrors during these dark times.

Introducing Profiction Pigeon! My first little story with products to celebrate the launch of my art and print shop, Cartoon Teluvision! 🎉🥳 my little pigeon, Tarot, has no idea why I put him there.

Right now there’s a few stickers for sale and a mail club that I hope you’ll join themed around the story of pigeons from an alternate reality Earth (AU Earth) in the year 2036 learning how to read and write to combat the problem of complete AI integration and surveillance having made humans unable to reason or learn new things.

They are sending letters across universes to find help and are writing to my subscribers. And unexpectedly, their introduction to learning how to read and write human language came from being taught by a little shoe-wearing, fanfiction-loving pigeon who got his own headstart by reading yaoi fanfiction off the phones of covert fangirls while they commuted to work on the subways and buses.

When the pigeons are at the mercy of human society and mediocrity and needing an escape, they began to retrace our recent human history while filling in the AI-rewritten gaps by writing their own speculative fiction to understand where things went irreparably wrong. What they found while dusting off the cobwebs, was that during the death of it being socially acceptable for humans to use fiction and by extension, fandom, to safely and freely explore and express one’s inner feelings, heartbreaks, horrors, and passions about their senseless world to make sense of it, was the same moment not enough people could hear the warning signs when surveillance began to destroy and walk back every advancement and right that humans had spent millennia fighting for.

The purpose of this store is to help me fund my own cartoons, and I want profiction pigeon to become more than just a little exclusive mail club, but also hopefully expand into video audiobooks with music, illustrated animatics and even some animation as well as supplemental educational materials available to the public, so hopefully you’ll check it out at http://cartoonteluvision.com !
