“You know what this place could really need?” Caleb turned over onto his belly from where he was lying on the couch, watching Rollo work away on their dinner. “… A cat.”

Rollo heard Caleb loud and clear, on account of his enhanced senses, but he still asked for an immediate reminder. “A cat?” Rollo hadn’t spent time with many cats. He was technically a dog--they were--how would that go exactly?

So after Tony came to talk to you Duke pretty much ripped his face off. Poor kid's been hiding and licking his wounds ever since. Maybe you should keep Duke in line.

What is your favorite thing about Caleb?

“To choose one thing at the moment… I guess I’d say his spirit, he’s always pushing me. It can be annoying but he wants the best for me.”

“Then there’s everything else about him. Yeah. He’s perfect.”

Aint you a bit worried when Caleb comes home smelling like a vamp tramp all the time?

“No.”

Don't you worry about dating someone so young? I'm not talking about the judgemental looks, but do you think you'll be his too priority for much longer? He doesn't seem like the type to keep things for too long.

If all my time and attention was being spent worrying about something that really isn’t important I wouldn’t be with Caleb. I wouldn’t have told him that I love him. I wouldn’t be planning a future with him. Once again, hopefully for the final time, he is old enough to make his own decisions and it is not my place to decide for or control him.

Glass- How do you feel about your appearance?Alright, I guess. I’ve had no complaints–at least not lately.

Skull- What is one thing you regret?I regret plenty of things, the first that stands out is turning Caleb, but the other… I shouldn’t have walked out on my father like I did. The last time I saw him. I don’t know, maybe he’d still be alive, and I wouldn’t have to put up with so much guilt now.

     “Snappy? That’s a terrible nickname.” She twisted the glass in her hand idly. 

     “I’m Iliya.” She set her gaze on him, sizing him up for a moment or two before she took a small sip of her drink and finally looked away. “You don’t get antsy near full moon nights?”

“Nice to meet you, Iliya.” He showed a grin. “Sure I do, I just know how to manage my nerves.”

     “You’re Raff.” Iliya looked at the man, noting the features similar to Duke’s. “Duke’s brother, hm?”
