I don't think I ever truly understood the phrase "a dog is a man's best friend" until this one came into my life. Aerial may not have loved many things in life but I never once doubted that I was one of them. She was my companion. My princess. She was someone I wanted to take everywhere even if her little white hairs got all over my black outfit and ruined it. (And as a gay man, that's saying something). And I did. I took her on walks. I took her to the beach. I even took her to work sometimes. Anyone who knows me knows that she wasn't just a dog or a pet to me. She was a part of my heart. She was one of my best friends. I will forever cherish every moment I had with her. While 14 years may be a long time in dog years, it wasn't enough. I loved that girl probably even more than she ever knew. I know she's in a much better place now than she has been lately and for that I'm grateful. I wish everyone could have a bond like ours with a pet someday in their life. It's something that can't be described or valued enough. The joy and comfort she brought me were a pivotal part of my growing up. I hope wherever she is now she's talking to trees, eating godly amounts of food, or cuddled up on a nice comfy bed. I love you Aerial Ladder. Rest In Peace. You were more than just a good girl, you were the best. Thank you for everything Nana. ❤️💛💚💙💜🖤 #RIP #Dalmatian #BestFriend #Dog #Puppy #LoveHer
