There’s a big storm rolling in, and I wonder about the animals who live in the trees. My old neighborhood had an owl I saw often when Josh and I took walks at night. There’s an owl near the new place, too, but I still haven’t seen it, only heard it. Here’s hoping we all make it through with our feathers intact.

I love how so many of the birds in Audubon’s BIRDS OF AMERICA paintings are hunting or eating. Bonus animals! They’re sometimes bugs or small reptiles, but just as often fish, like in his depiction of the Great White Heron. Here’s my tattoo flash version, perfect for a back or stomach piece.
