Classes of MEKA, Analysis
D.MON: On a surprising note, Beast uses a hard light shield instead of the defensive matrix D.Va uses. Even more important its a personal shield, so she doesn’t use it to protect her allies, the design is also way bulkier than any other MEKA. It’s pretty safe to say that D.Mon is the tank of MEKA.
OVERLORD: Mastermind has a very, very interesting design. Two claws/hands for unknown purpose and a single cannon on the nose, he is accompanied by (at least) 4 smaller drones. If I had to predict his role that would be a literal overlord for the team with the drones as cameras and distractions; he doesn’t look like he would be in the thick of battle with such fragile looking rotor blades, most likely used to hover more than flying fast.
KING: Singijeon’s design screams glass-cannon. Dual hand cannons, and two very big missile launchers. He is far from the action, unleashing on the omnic threat with Tokki and Beast in the front. Not really much to say.
CASINO: Another design that screams its role, being fast, very fast. La Princesse Sereine looks like a jet and probably flies like one. Also the one that makes the least sense as leaves the legs of the pilot completely exposed. Mastermind in contrast has a great cover under itself to protect Overlord. He looks like it would be an annoyance for the omnics, constantly flying in and out in hit-and-run maneuvers.
D.VA: Considering how much of a tank she is in-game. It will be weird that she isn’t the tank of the team, but she is… and isn’t. Tokki is in the half way point of Singijeon, La Princesse and Beast… whereas they specialize on their classes, Tokki is the bard of the team, burrowing a little bit of everyone. Smaller missiles than Singijeon, less bulkier than Beast (but with the addition of the D. Matrix), and less fast-looking than La Princesse. Probably switches her role to support as Overlord or herself sees fit.
