Lucid dreaming

Lucid dreaming is typically when a dream when the dreamer is aware they are asleep, but can also refer to a general heightened state of awareness in a dream, even if the dreamer is not aware they’re asleep.

For some people lucid dreaming comes naturally, while others have to work to learn how to.

Lucid dreams typically happen in REM sleep. Things that can increase the changes of lucid dreams can be waking up after five hours, having a good sleep schedule and routine, writing down your dreams, using certain devices like masks or headbands or playing messages while you’re asleep, and possibly some drugs though there’s not really enough known about it to be properly safe.

Particularly those with mental health issues people may have trouble deciphering dreams from reality.

When you think you may be lucid dreaming, or even just to be sure when you think you’ve shifted, do reality checks. Popular reality checks are:

-look in a mirror, your reflection may be weird if you’re dreaming

-pinch your nose and try to breathe; you can breathe if asleep

-if you have tattoos, look at them, if you’re dreaming they probably changed

-read something, look back, and if it’s changed you’re asleep

-push your finger against your palm, if it passes you’re asleep

-flicker the lights on and off, a delay may mean you’re dreaming

-try to change or create reality based on your expectations

-after the fact, if your memory is fuzzy, it may have been a dream

Some people are misinformed and think shifting is just lucid dreaming. Despite the fact that there are nonsleeping methods, reality obviously passes reality checks. Here, I can pass reality checks because I’m awake and in a reality. Shifting is the same thing. You can pass whatever reality checks you want because you are in a reality, just a different one.

So if you’ve shifted and want to make sure, do some reality checks. If your DR is close to this one and you get confused by what’s real and dreamed maybe try methods for when you’re awake!

The woman in the bathroom is trans and is scared that if she comes out of the stall the women that walked in will insult or harass her. but when she comes out they compliment her on her dress instead. The add ends with saying “stress tested for women.” It means Secret is including trans women in their definition of women.

I have reblogged this three times now, each one mentioning the fact that Secret not only included a trans woman, but that they /had the other women compliment her dress and treat her with respect/. I will reblog this every time I see it because it’s so important. More companies should involve trans people in their marketing - we do exist. Props to Secret for getting in on this movement. It makes me really happy to see more of the trans community represented in daily television.

. Planning to move to the countryside and trying to pick out a cottage to live in and when you finely do move everyone in the village is super accepting

. Picking out flowers to put in your partners hair

. Going to the local cafe and ordering something different from the menu everyday

. Spending hours in the book shop together finding books you'll think each other will like

. Going clothes shopping in any shop and picking out clothes you think will suit each other such as a lovely flower dress and a nice suit

. Going on bicycle rides in the woods and applying a plaster to your partners knee if they fall off

. Cuddling by the fire place watching your favourite cottagecore film

. Reading their favourite book to them when they are sick and making them your homemade soup to make them feel better

I promised I would make some more boyfriend cottagecore prompts for you guys so here we are :D

. Going on holiday to a beach hut by the sea, holding hands running along the beach at night, relaxing on the rocks listening to the sound of the sea together, sand castle competitions

. Him offering you a ride on his tractor where he takes you around the countryside showing all his favourite hidden areas

. Running through fields holding each others hands

. Baking together, he accidentally spills some flour but you purposely make mess as well and in the end he is so proud of the food you guys created

. He takes you on a suprise shopping trip to charity shops and recommends clothes he finds that he thinks will suit you

. Flirting everyday at the farmers market

. He studies flower language to make you a beautiful bunch of flowers expressing how he feels as he finds it hard to say it

. He makes you breakfast in bed with jam sandwiches, orange juice and your favourite snack

. He brings back a pet dog he found at the farm and gives you puppy dog eyes till you agree to let him keep it

After my post yesterday of cottagecore boy prompts a few of you requested for me to make non-binary ones! So for all you awesome people out there, I hope you like these!

- Your partner suprises you with train tickets for a journey on your favourite steam train where you cuddle in the carriage and watch as the country goes past

- Taking your partner on a road trip where you suprise them by taking them to this beautiful waterfall where you can relax and watch the wildlife in

- Going around charity shops with your partner buying cute dresses you find and dazzerling suits so you have plenty of options of what you can wear to the village dance

- Reading their favourite book to them by the fireplace while their head rests in your lap and they slowly drift off to sleep

- Keeping a calender for pronouns where everyday your partner can write what they would prefer to be called that day

- Making up cute countryside nick names for your partner such as honey or raven

- Going out to the backyard to feed the chickens where you see them feeding the cows and pretending to have an actual conversation with them

- Going out to adopt a kitten from one of the nahbioughs and discussing all the names you want to call it

- Running through the tall grass in a field playing tag

- Volunteering at a charity shop with your partner and discussing all the cute outfits people bring in to donate

I hope these were okay! There is a lot going on at the moment and right now what the future ahead of us is unpredictable but I know that we will all pull through, as long as we keep supporting each other and be accepting we can strive to a future where people are not killed because of who they are, that every life is treated the same. Seeing these protests it gives me hope for the future and while what's going on with anonymous, Trump and the Royal family seems dark we will be okay. I just know it. Everything will end up working out.

In the cottagecore community I see a lot of prompts for girls loving girls and while I stan I'd thought I'd make some prompts about guys for my fellow gays, bisexuals, pansexuals and everyone else who also has a preference for guys:

- A farm boy taking you on a ride in his tractor as you go to work at your farm tending to the animals and later in the evening retiring to your cottage to snuggle by the fireplace

- Following him to a forest with a beautiful stream where he pushes you in and you chase each other seeing who can splash each other the hardest

- Going on a late night picknick where you lay on the ground and looking up at the starts, holding hands and just imagining

- Him running a steam train and pulling up to the station you are on, hooting the whistle at you cheekily and letting you on board to help drive it

- Meeting at a farm market as he brings these puppies along to give away and after flirting with you is fully prepared to give you them all

- Seeing each other around the village and him always giving you a cheeky grin till you finally get to meet in a pub where he is the bartender

- Him cooking you dinner as he knows it's been a tiring day for you at the farm, preparing your favourite meal then afterwards tucking you up in a blanket by the fireplace and reading to you your favourite book

- Going to watch him act in the village pantomime and getting jealous when he has to kiss someone else on stage so he makes you promise afterwards to join the pantomime as well for next time

Sometimes I look out in my town and feel super low seeing how many houses there are and little amount of nature but then if I look hard enough I can find hidden trials all over the place. Even if you live in a really big town if you look hard enough you'll find the nature you're seeking
