Ancient Paganism on the Islands of early Modern Ireland

The islands of Inishkea (Inis Cé) also known as Inis Geidhe or Inish Gay are a pair of islands off the coast of Belmullet, County Mayo. One of the most remote parts of Ireland. Areas with a lot of history. With habitation evident in both Neolithic and early Christian eras. The island is said, in the Irish Version of the Historia Britonum to have been occupied by a single Crane since the beginning of the world, and is named after an obscure female saint (800 AD). 

The evidence for pagan or pagan like practice’s in Inishkea comes from a series of accounts.
