I keep thinking about the relief Annie probably felt at seeing that Elijah’s desire to want to be with the love of his life and his daughter won out over Smoke’s desire to always be there to protect Stack.

She also knew that he would choose her with her last words “see you soon”.

The freedom Elijah probably felt in choosing his wife and daughter & getting to be with them forever. Nothing can separate them.

He never wanted to leave them in the first place. His self appointed duty to protect his brother that he has had since he was a child led to him sacrificing the life he loved with the only person he felt safe enough to be his innermost self with.

The first time we see him take a genuine deep full body breath is after being reunited with them both. The only two times we see him smile in this entire movie is among reuniting with his daughter and Annie and in the post credits scene which shows he and Annie sharing an intimate dance.

The love that was his lifeline, his tether to the him no one but Annie has the privilege of seeing, his home, his safe space, etc. guided him to the peace he never fully thought was available to him—or it wouldn’t be without her.

I have so many more Sinners and Smoke & Annie thoughts to share. Love them bad 😭😭😭

Okay here’s my thoughts on the Megan and klay situation:

- as a basketball fan since 2013, im unfortunately not surprised by this because that man has been cheating on every girl he’s with. For god sake he wrote a journal about his infidelity

- the Lexie brown rumor is dumb imo because how the fuck did that come out like over a follow. I need to see real evidence of that

- Megan my love, I don’t even know what to say. It’s like these men that’s she’s publicly with, something bad happens

- I will say this though, I’m not one of those people that’s going to bash Megan so don’t be commenting on my shit but my girl needs a break BADLY.

- klay, you’re 36. Too damn old to be going back to your old ways. And I’m not one of these people that’s going to say that he’s gay because he doesn’t give that to me but he has a problem. First Hannah stocking, then Laura, then Coco, and now Megan. Yeah you need help
