Afaq Khoja Mausoleum is beautiful, and with incredible history so important to Central Asia.

Shapes and textures
One of my favourite snaps from on our epic silk road trip in 2017. Taken in Kashgar, this could be a scene from anywhere in Central Asia. Even though it was only 3 years ago, it is unlikely this place looks like this today.
Having travelled to Malaysia many times since I was a baby, it was polarising to see how Ramadan was observed in Kashgar and Urumqi. We crossed the border into Kyrgyzstan to find a completely different world. We never heard the call to prayer in Urumqi or Kashgar but waited until sunset before dinner was served in Osh. Streets were buzzing at night in Osh and Bishkek but deserted as soon as it was dark in Urumqi and Kashgar.
When you cook an entire roll but @hillvale do a beautiful job of scanning them regardless x
Love her.
And our journey through South Korea comes to a sad end. Sad because all endings are sad and because I was a very sad girl at the end of my time in South Korea. Lucky I had this one.
Next up: India.
Dior.
Framed.
// I am really looking forward to seeing some tall buildings. Nature and fresh air is great but I really am a dirty city slicker who needs a concrete jungle and pollution.
Seoul, South Korea.
Circles are everything.
I found these guys behind the door. Temple guardians. They howled.
Yes, I went through the door. Never stop being curious.
Look up. Always.
Sorry for abandoning you tumblr. It’s been a rough few months. Here’s a snap from a time before the rough existed. I miss travelling on foreign buses.
Meditation teachings.
A lotus lined ceiling in the Chilbulam Hermitage.
This is the spectacular view from the Chilbulam Hermitage - a temple close to what seemed like the top of the world (Namsan Mountain). Sipped tea with a monk while he gave me tips on how to meditate.
