Daisy. I like Cassandra though. You got any other good number facts for me?
Oh tons. Tell me something you like to do.
aemiliablack:
Cassandra Kennedy. I hear you’ve already sorted out accommodations.Â
Temporary ones. For now. We’ll see. Real estate is a passion of mine.
daisyfranklin:
Hence all of the stop signs?
Now you get it. Cassandra, by the way. Cassie, for the mouthful.Â
daisyfranklin:
That’s– how do you just know that? Just off the top of your head — have you recently bought a star?
I just really like numbers.Â
daisyfranklin:
I’m not worried about actually owning it — just having your name to it would be cool. Though I’ve gotta imagine that that actually involves money.
54 dollars. They mail you a certificate and a letter congratulating you for owning a star in the cosmos.
daisyfranklin:
A boat is a maybe. Cooler would be a star or planet, or a new species of something.
I think the International Star Registry can make that happen. Though, the legality and legitimacy of owning a star is dubious at best.Â
daisyfranklin:
If I was important enough to have something named after me, I’d pick something way cooler than a monument or a street.
Boats and hurricanes and hospital wings —
aemiliablack:
And yet New York City, with its fascinating stop sign count per imperial unit, has five times the amount of traffic collisions. No introductions, then? Skip right to business?
Aemilia Black. Pleasure’s all mine.Â
daisyfranklin:
Like… if it was a real street sign, that’d be a different matter — but a custom one made up just for you?
Sense of importance. They build and name monuments after people. Why not a street?
daisyfranklin:
Store-bought is just not the same. It feels like cheating, you know? Also not entirely certain why anyone would want their own street sign whilst they were sober…
You have no idea...Â
daisyfranklin:
I’m totally not saying that I’ve ever drunkenly stolen a stop-sign in college whilst encouraged by by a pretty girl, but there certainly were a number of dorm-rooms that I was aware of which were decorated with a variety of street-signs. Why was it that that always seemed like the best idea? And why were all the people who had them in their rooms either endlessly cool, really mean, or both?
You can buy customized street signs on Etsy nowadays. I didn’t have the college dorm experience but I did see my fair share of frat houses with no parking signs nailed to their walls.

Yes but having met her in a crisis, I can only assume she’ll actually use it and then she’ll be someone else’s girl in prison. Which would be disappointing.Â
[ PRIVATE ]
What’s the point of having a girlfriend if she won’t murder a man for you?
whitneybrady:

As long as I can keep calling this mace I bought a cushion too.Â
[ PRIVATE ]
Doesn’t your girl carry a glock?
whitneybrady:
[ PRIVATE ]
Wait, seriously? God – that’s… that’s great news. You’re a lifesaver. Sawyer will be thrilled. I mean lord only knows if he’ll actually obey it but we’ll cross that bridge if it comes to that.Â
[ PRIVATE ]
Oh, I don’t doubt he’ll recklessly ignore it, but at least with a precedent, a Federal Agent on your side, the best lawyer in the East Coast, and the order in place, the PHPD will have no choice but to pursue criminal charges against him. Call it a cushion.Â
haven-caldwell:
Trust me, it’s a step up from what a lot of people do around here for entertainment. He’s harmless. Probably. Don’t quote me on that, though.
I live in Manhattan — so I’m pretty familiar with the concept of: ‘harmless, probably’.Â
whitneybrady:

Maybe, but if that’s Whitney Brady then make no mistake, you’re Cassandra Kennedy. If being the next new girl doesn’t steal all the attention, being you will. And it’s fine – for once in my life, I don’t think I want any. I’d love to make a few less splashes for a while.Â
[ PRIVATE ]
I’d rather save the attention for the campaign. And speaking of which, I talked to Michelle about that restraining order you wanted. Done and done. She’ll email you all the paperwork in the morning.Â
whitneybrady:
[ PRIVATE ]Â
You are relentless. But yes, I guess you could say that. But honestly, stepping foot in this city makes you everyone’s person of interest. I’ve never seen anything like it. I got pulled over, multiple parking tickets, at least 6 people asked if I was new in town, and then there was all that other mess, and then Sawyer. I’m honestly glad someone else is here to be the new person. For a big city, they treat it like a cul de sac.Â
[ PRIVATE ]
And you think that has everything to do with being new and nothing to do with being you? Please. Unaligned planets might be the cause of a bad luck streak if you believe in that crap, but the rest? That’s all Whitney Brady. Not new girl in town.
