clyde looked away from her and down at his hands, “what if i don’t have it? there’re consequences to stealing, you know?” he responded quietly, thinking about that really put him off. he really didn’t want to find out that he doesn’t have it and then get arrested for all the shit he did.
“and what if you do? it’s not okay to not know, after all, if you do have it, you should get treatment for it and if you don’t have it, we’ll figure something out, together.” she took his hand with a small smile. “i got you.”
he shrugged. “you think this is something i would just easily tell anyone?” he asked. “the only person who knows beside you is junyoung, and he’s the one who made a long ass research and told me i might have it. i’m not even diagnosed by a professional, so really, i have no reason to tell someone i have something that might not even be there.”
she shook her head after thinking about it. “no, and i get why.” she admitted, twisting her lips. “maybe go to a professional? that would be a good idea, so you can know if you really have it and don’t have to wonder, you know?” she looked through the bag he gave her of her things, trying to remember where she have to put them at when cassia gets back to her house.
“for a very informative girl and someone who graduated early, you’re too slow to catch on.” he responded to her question, walking out of his closet with a plastic bag with some of cassia’s stolen things inside, which he never got the chance to return. he walked to his desk, grabbed the tiny elephant statue and put it inside before sitting down back in his spot and handing the bag to the girl.
cassia watched him as he brought out a bag with her things that went missing around her house. “i didn’t want to assume, that’s very rude, did you know that?” she raised her brow before taking the bag. “why didn’t you tell me sooner? or when i was talking about my elephant?” she wondered, she wasn’t upset, of course. he didn’t have control over it but she also felt a bit betrayed that he lied to her face just moments ago.
“yeah, it’s when someone has an impulsive to steal things without any control over themselves even if they don’t need or want it. i’m a very informed girl, i actually thought about majoring in psychology but then i changed my mind also the sims 4 has a kleptomania trait you can give your characters. why you ask?”
clyde looked away from her and back at the wall in front of him, nodding slowly. “read this.” he gave her his phone where a wikipedia page about kleptomania was open, then got up and went to his closet.
she looked at him a bit confused before taking his phone, reading what he was showing her. cassia looked at him, “why are you showing me a page about kleptomania?” she wondered, already knowing what it was since she played the sims a lot on her free time.
he nodded in acknowledgement, looking at his feet for a moment before back at her. he wondered how she would actually react if she found out. “you really do.” he nudged her playfully. “okay, uh..” he didn’t speak for a little while, wondering how he should word this. “have you ever.. h-have you ever met someone with some mental illness you’ve never heard of before? or.. maybe never encountered someone with something you’ve heard of in person until you’ve met that person?” he asked. “am i making sense?”
cassia giggled at the nudge, wondering why she did that a lot. she waited patiently for him to gather his words, not saying anything until after he was finished talking. she smiled softly at clyde and nodded a little, "you made perfect sense, but yeah, i have. some of my friends has some sort of mental illness that i didn't know about before i met them and my fans also shares their stories with me about their mental illnesses. why?"
“no.” he shrugged. “but what if you did find more of your things?” he wondered. clyde leaned back on his bed as he legs spread in front of him on the floor, then looked at her again, chuckling as he typed something really quickly on his phone. “you did ask like.. twice.” he laughed a little. “can i ask you something?”
cassia shrugged a little, “i would hope for you to be honest with me on why you have it instead of it being in my house.” she admitted, wondering would she be pissed at him for taking her things or not. the redhead laughed at herself. “i always do that, don’t i?” she still had a smile on her face, “yeah, of course.”
he tilted his head slightly, he really didn’t know what to say. he never knew a situation where someone would catch him off guard like this would ever come any time soon. now that it’s here, he didn’t have an excuse for this. for god’s sake, he would never buy a freaking tiny elephant just because he wanted to. “y-yeah..” he trailed off, nodding. “enough snooping around my room, opeia. sit down.” he patted the spot next to him, showing her a small smile.
cassia was probably just being paranoid so she planned on letting the subject go. “afraid i’m going to find more things that’s not supposed to be here?” she joked, laughing a little before sitting next to him. “anyway, did i ask how was your day yet or am i losing it?” she smiled at him.
clyde stayed silent for a moment, not knowing what exactly to say. he could never see himself admitting what’s wrong with him, yet he felt like he never wanted to disappoint the petite girl in front of him. “are you saying i would take something random from your house without telling you?.. a little like.. i don’t know, stealing?”
cassia scrunched her eyebrows together before looking at clyde again. “i never said that, clyde. i know people could have something that is the same thing, after all i did get mine while here,” but she knew it wasn’t something clyde would have because why would he need a tiny elephant statue, “and why would you even steal from me, right? i trust you, you never gave me a reason not to.”
as cassia started spending more and more time with clyde, especially in his room, he always made sure to hide the things he stole and couldn’t get a chance to return. mostly the things he took from cassia. the least he wanted for her is to not trust him anymore. but even with that, he seemed to fail. he couldn’t believe he forgot one stupid item thrown around his room.
clyde usually didn’t like how cassia was curious about the things in his room, but after starting to hide things he stole, he became more comfortable with it, which is why it didn’t cross his fucking mind that he forgot that one particular thing on his desk. so when cassia picked it up and showed him, he mentally roasted himself, not leaving a curse word that he didn’t direct to his stupid self. yet externally, he played it as casual as possible. he glanced at her, at the item, then back at her, shrugging. “i don’t know.”
cassia watched clyde, frowning a little. “oh... this kind of look like something that went missing in my house, but it can’t be it, right?” she chuckled a little, looking at the item again before putting it back even though she had a bad feeling about it, but she wasn’t going to question clyde, she trusted him and had no reason not to. even though the feeling in her gut told her that was in fact hers but she just shook her head a little.
cassia was confused, she was never one to lose something, she always made sure to be able to find everything in her house since moving in. she had a great system and she wasn’t going to let it go down the drain so when she couldn’t find something in her house, she knew something was very wrong but she couldn’t pinpoint what. did one of her friends accidentally took it and forgot to tell her? possibly but some of the things that went missing none of her friends needed or wanted.
the redhead decided to just drop it, they weren’t really that important to begin with but it did bug her that they went missing to begin with. she was at clyde’s house, in his room, just looking around, something she did when she was just being curious. that when something caught her eye on his desk, it looked like one of her things that she couldn’t find. “hey clyde, where did you get this from?” she asked, showing him.
–– “I wouldn’t just stupidly drop to the floor, you know? i would’ve done something a lot cooler” he chuckled. “i’m always nice, what’re you talking about?” he responded with a grin. clyde knew he shouldn’t be like this, he promised himself he wouldn’t. but he couldn’t help but lean down for more right after she spoke. it was like he was craving a kiss from her for years and just now got his chance.
“Are you saying falling on your face isn’t cool? Because I definitely fine that cool.” She laughed. “If you were so nice, you wouldn’t have pull me down.” She pointed out with a scrunch of her nose. When he didn’t say anything about her apology she wasn’t sure if she did something wrong or not but then he moved closer and it felt like her heart was going to beat out of her chest. “Clyde...” She whispered before kissing him again but this time it wasn’t a peak on the lips.
–– “oh, yes, sure. i totally did it on purpose.” he retorted, raising his hand to take hers. but instead of pulling himself up, he pulled her down with him, “revenge is a bitch, isn’t it?” he laughed, wrapping his arms around her tightly as if he was imprisoning her. clyde flipped them over so that he was on top of her and let go of her, resting his elbows on the floor so that he was hovering over her, his forehead resting on hers. “hi.” he said, smiling.
“How do I know you didn’t want to make a really good entrance?” She wondered. She squealed as she fell, happy it was on Clyde and not the floor. “You’re so nice to me,” she pouted a little before he turned them around. Cassia knew she was blushing as his forehead rested on her own, “hi there.” She smiled back and before she could stop herself she pecked his lips. She groaned a little, “I’m sorry... Shouldn’t have done that...”
