A small shot of something that seemed like joy ran through her at his agreement; she took it as a confirmation that no, he wasnât already getting sick of her shit like so many others did. Winona was fun, could always be the life of the party, but not everybody wanted to go on a three week bender taking shots of only Duval. Theyâd sober up, realise that she was exhausting and be on their merry way. They were like the party girls she sold coke to, happy to snort a few lines to make their weekend that more fun, but they werenât junkies. Nobody was itching for another hit of her.Â
Except Scottie. Sure, he got sick of her shit and put her in her place sometimes, but he never threw her to the kerb. Even in the home, when she was wild and unruly and refused to calm down for even five minutes, he could deal with her. It was probably why sheâd gut anybody that even threatened harm to him; she couldnât lose the one person that loved her unconditionally. The one person she could love unconditionally.Â
Her nose scrunched at his words, âdateâ swirling around her mind, refusing to stop. He didnât mean anything by it, surely, and she definitely didnât have a tight knot in her stomach at the thought of him entertaining other girls. Nope. She was not unreasonably jealous.Â
She opened her mouth to shoot off some witty retort but before the words could leave her mouth she was up in the air, a loud screech escaping from her followed by a laugh as she gripped the back of his shirt. This type of shit was what got her head in a twist, how easy it was.Â
Winona kept laughing, eyes closing to beat away the dizziness. âDepends,â she managed, speaking into his shirt. âBed says weâre here to nap, and nap good. Couch says weâre waking up, just a casual fling into nap-dom. How dedicated to this are you, huh?âÂ
Cassius smirked, one hand clamped tight to her leg holding her in place over his shoulder while the other smacked her ass playfully. He felt a weird inclination to just keep her close and hug her and found his head resting against her hip. Though he still didnât know the reason for her coming over, and with Winona there was a probably a reason, he was very glad that she did.Â
âBed it is.â He declared charging into his room. His bed was covered in wrinkled sheets and unwashed clothes. Perhaps if he was going to be having a girl over impromptu like this, he should try to get the place in a better state of cleanliness. Then again Winn would pick up on the Clorox fresh scent and get frightened away. âA Winona Duval nap, thatâs something Iâm hella dedicated to.â
He flopped her down on the bed and heard Blue scurry from the room, then he crashed down next to her and wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close in to him. His arm tensed and then slowly relaxed as it drifted down her torso and rested just above her hip. He breathed in and let out a contented but tired sigh, his nose conveniently nuzzled into her hair. âThatâs that good nap-time shit right there.â He smiled.Â
He liked having her this close, it might not have been the most tough of conventionally masculine trait, but he liked being close to someone, breathing in their smell, being able to just lie with them in silence or in pointless conversation. Lately, he seemed to like it even more when it was not just with anyone, but with Winona. Though he knew sheâd sense this and be scared off, or perhaps just not be interested at all. Maybe sheâd hate him for this, and only want him for sex, or not even for sex anymore, he didnât care. If she wanted to get away first sheâd have to peel his sleepy, clinging form from her body.Â
