It seem we have forgotten what has currently hit us, and have been distracted with talks about the non-consequential 5G Network to the current pandemic. Now that I have mentioned 5G, let me quickly tell you what I think about the network. To help analyse my fathomable opinion, I will attribute 5G to something we all use and enjoy today to further illustrate and to debunk the idea behind the network. This is just to help us understand its risks, as well as appreciate its benefits. ELECTRICITY: I very much understand that none of us lived during the period electricity was first discovered. But I'd like us to compare that period to the current soon be wonders of the world, the 5G. Before the era of electricity, all we ever knew was candles, and lanterns that uses oil for light. Chandelier that makes use of multiple candles to light up a room was in existence then, which could be found in magnificent houses such as that of the Royal palaces. In the year 1750, Benjamin Franklin is most noted for his experiment where he extracted power from a lightning rod using a metal key tied to a kite. Following that, and in 1813, one of the first major breakthroughs in electricity occurred, when British scientist Michael Faraday discovered the basic principles of electricity generation. Building on the experiments of Franklin and others, he created or “induced” electric current by moving magnets inside coils of copper wire. The discovery of electromagnetic induction revolutionized how we use energy. Then in 1879, the American Inventor Thomas Edison was finally able to produce a reliable, long-lasting electric light bulb in his laboratory. One may think, why is he talking about electricity and what has it got to do with 5G Network? Bear with me, I will come to that in a second. Now, thinking about electricity and understanding its benefit, and yet, its dangers. Electricity as we know today can kill, and remains a threat to our lives, but we have grown to accept it and live with its risks, understanding how to mitigate such risk.
