As Castiel gets back into the groove, we’ll see something that isn’t always typical for Supernatural: Castiel spending some time with Sam. Now that Cas is out of Purgatory, Misha said that the show has just begun “playing out any dynamic between Sam and Cas”

But seriously, Sam will be happy when Castiel gets out, despite their uneven history: “I think when Sam was actively hunting, I think he and Cas never saw eye-to-eye and Cas understandably had some resentment for Sam. {…} but now he’s just happy to see Cas.”

I’m sorry but can we talk about this scene for a second? About how the purgatory monsters recognise Dean - like they heard of him before. And the vampire knows that it’s him because he says: “Where’s the angel?” like it’s his tagline or something. I just can’t help but imagine that Dean is some kind of “urban legend” in purgatory now: the human that kills everything that crosses his path, the man that hunts down the monsters in the woods and only ever asks them one question before he kills them “Where’s the angel?”
