As the other spoke, the angel remained quiet, expression shifting between confusion and mild exasperation.  Finally, he shook his head, upturned hands coming with a shrug.

Jill concealed a faint smile, managing to keep a straight face, and gravely nodded in acknowledgement of these accomplishments. “Uh-huh. Just don’t forget he needs his nap at three. I think the others have already gone down for a rest, so try to be quiet, okay?”

“I’ve got it, I’ve got it,” he assured, curling fingers to give an OK, which changed to a quick thumbs up as he continued.  “Nap at three - don’t wake anyone up.  Easy.”  He nodded, brows soon raising, lips parting with a sharp inhalation and an “oh” as if he’d suddenly remembered something important.
