Lucy
OK so I know this is incredibly late and so many people have done this but I am SO FUCKING PASSIONATE ABOUT IT THAT I’M GOING TO DO ONE TOO OK BUCKLE THE FUCK UP TIME TO TALK ABOUT HOW AND WHY LUCY HEARTFILILA IS NOT WEAK AND/OR USELESS
So #1 Lucy grew up in an abusive home (verbally and emotional) and probably had a lot of issues after the loss of her mother. Did that stop her? No! She kept going and she followed her dream. She could have had money and riches and spent her life buying her happiness but instead she gave her father a big FUCK you and moved on and did amazing things. And even so, she didn’t resent her mother, which many kids who are left with an abusive parent do, but she embraced her mother and always ALWAYS went out of her way to help others (Loki is a perfect example but so is when they were fighting Gajeel’s old crew), even if it was going to cost her what she loves most in the world (just like with Aquarius). AND AFTER ALL OF THIS she still forgave her father after everything he put her through. For victims of abuse that IS SO INCREDIBLE that she was able to do that, not in a way of celebrating the abuser, not AT ALL. But in the way that that takes EXTREME amounts of strength and forgiveness and is an amazing quality, I can’t applaud her enough.
#2 People tear Lucy down and call her “self centered” or “narcissistic” which makes no sense whatsoever. As previously stated, Lucy is always putting others above herself so that’s just false. Also, last time I checked, like most of the Fairytail women and men, she knows she has an amazing body. She wears short skirts and tight tops and frequents body competitions but so does e v e r y b o d y e l s e. No one is calling Erza or Mirajane a slut or a narcissist, so why is Lucy? Having a female protagonist that isn’t constantly tearing herself down and shaming herself is amazing! That’s the role model girls need! Lucy embraces her body and even though she is curvy, she wears what she wants, she doesn’t let society dictate her wardrobe. She’s not “slutty” based of her outfits, we see she doesn’t date an insane amount of guys (and if she did it wouldn’t matter either) so stop calling her a slut unless you’re willing to say that pretty much every Fairytail character is a slut too then, by those standards.
Lucy is NOT weak. This pisses me off the most. Ok. I understand that she might not be as strong as Erza or Natsu or Mirajane but FEW ARE THAT’S THE FUCKING POINT that’s why THEY are the ELITE. Lucy is still EXREMELY powerful though!! Lemme break this down for you:
1. Just like Levy, Lucy is super smart and for some mages, power revolves around knowledge more than anything else, and that has saved some asses more than once. Knowledge is a very useful skill.
2. Not only is she smart- she literally is one of very few mages of her kind. Celestial mages are RARE. Think about it. There are only 13 gold keys - and Lucy is in possession of the majority of the 13 meaning she is liTERALLY THE MOST POWERFUL CELESTIAL SPIRIT MAGE ON THE PLANET! Also, as we see from Loki’s flashbacks- she has an amazing relationship with the spirits, hell she’s on like a FIRST NAME BASIS WITH THE FUCKING KING. SHE IS ON A ONE ON ONE BASIS WITH THE M O S T POWERFUL SPIRIT IN EXISTENCE LITERALLY THE RULER. She has done things few - if literally any- other mages like her have done. And! Even so! She isn’t satisfied, she keeps practicing to be better to be stronger.
3. This girl can keep up with the elite. She is part of the Golden crew. Natsu. Gray. Ezra. These are some of the best of the best (official and unofficial) so yes, in comparison to them Lucy COULD BE considered the weaker. POSSIBLY (I have my own beliefs on this but that is another post for a calmer less 2 am - angry post) but still she is a part of that group. Now I know everybody is “nakama” and blah blah blah fluffy fruity bullshit I get it - Friendship is Magic, yippie kai yay. But she goes on missions with them and keeps up. If she was truly as weak as people say she is she would a) be dead or b) slowly be distanced by the “elite” and fall into place with people on her own level. But still she is always called upon the elite group because when push comes to shove she is very handy and necessary.
4. While she may lack in Physical strength, she has a real connection with Natsu which is soooo important. Whether you ship them or not (HI TO ALL MY NALU SHIPPERS I FEEL I SUPPORT) you have to admit that there are so so many times where Lucy either is able to calm Natsu down or bring him back to reality that very few others could in time of danger. Natsu is pretty much #1 in the show and having a character who has THAT strong a bond w him only solidifies her necessity.
Honestly I could go on and on like highkey I would but it’s late and I’m tired and I think about this an UNHEALTHY AMOUNT so I will probably add onto it but to finish off- idk. I relate to Lucy so much and I just love and respect her as a character that when people call her weak, I think a part of it is sexism and just looking at her on just a surface level- if you look deeper you can see she is such a babe such a NECESSITY. Goodnight. Thank you.
The Silence, The Comfort & The Chaos
Why am I stuck here?
Why is everything so stagnant?
It’s like I’m stuck in a room full of confused voices and an eerie silence is trying to break through the blinders, making its way into that comforting little space I’ve built for myself in the corner away from all the chaos
I am completely aware of how I need to embrace the confusion and the silence so as to maintain the balance but, me being me, my selfish thoughts won’t let me leave my little bubble which I created.
A snuggery that I created from all the happy things I have, all those things that mean so much to me, all of those things I get possessive about and in the struggle to keep them intact I end up ruining them.
Just like this time and again, one by one, all of those things dear to me have been getting stale, they aren’t the same anymore they are not the things that I used to cherish
They now feel alienated to me, they make me feel like an outsider, they make me feel like I don’t belong in that space that I built for myself and now they’ve started to push me away, further and further away....
There’s a small crack in one of the windows from where the silence has been slowly creeping in and intertwining with the chaos, trying to maintain balance
I don’t know if this balance is even good because all it is doing right now is dancing around in my head and pushing me towards the edge
I’m not really sure when is the chaos happening or when is it all silent but what scares me is that small corner that I used to call my home.
It scares me as at times it calls me towards itself and I don’t really wanna go but at the same times it looks like the only place that might give me a sense of understanding.
What scares me is how something that gave me comfort has now become something I despise the most while also being indifferent to it at times
What scares me is how that space sometimes calls me and at other times it pushes me out and yet I wouldn’t even waste a single second to go back to it
...What scares me more is how unstable and senseless all of this sounds right now
On the other side of pain, you meet the quietness so addicting, alluring and loving. Far from life and towards death, a life so dear.

Broken Crayons
Broken crayons still colour the same yet no one wants them by choice and the fact remains that they are still broken. Everyone would naturally go for the good one which is still in one piece maybe with its wrapper still on it and everything Everyone would pick up the one that looks good and the broken ones just lay there hoping someone will use them, thinking why nobody is choosing them when they do the same work as the others maybe with some difficulty because they are a bit small so its difficult to hold them or maybe their tip is disfigured so the color gets out a bit but the bottom line is that they all are the same, same structure and built same and some just went through something that suddenly just made them the last choice instead of the first. Now apply this to humans and you will see how they really just fit in this situation, how our society and surroundings work on this principle, how we work on this principle. At least 88% of the choices we made in our lives were somehow influenced by how perfect or not broken they were, how our choices are still influenced by how ‘settled’ someone is and how well they are doing in their lives while the ‘defective’ pieces are avoided, given attention for fun and to feel good about ourselves or mostly just reduced to mere fetishes. Sounds unfair right? You see, healing takes time, it’s a continuous process more than a spontaneous one. It has a number of stages and it differs from person to person. Some take time in realizing it, some take time in accepting and almost everyone takes time in getting over from it but trust me on this when I say in none of those stages you’re any less worthy than someone else without any issues. You see, nobody is perfect, omnipotence is just a concept and there will always be flaws, some are better at hiding them and some just leave them out in the open for the world to see as everyone is different, everyone has a different mechanism, they work their way through and around things differently and it still doesn’t make them any less. The point of it all is that work with what you’ve got because perfection doesn’t exist and there is always room for improvement, so stop looking for the perfect and start looking for what is best for you because you know the colour or shade you’re looking for in the pile might just be the broken one
