When it comes to Pokemon and headcannons I tend towards the idea that the Pokemon world, while revolving around Pokemon, also largely came together as a society that looked at its children and went “we are gonna give you the BEST fucking life”.
Because IIRC gym leaders in the show actually pick their Pokemon that they’re going to battle the kids with based on how strong said kids own Pokemon are. So while one kid may face a gym leader who’s Pokemon is lvl 50, because they already have a few badges, the kid who comes in after who only had one badge will be facing the gym leaders less powerful Pokemon.
And I’m pretty fucking sure that’s how the villains work too.
Like, playing the games and all that it’s always so funny to me that these huge organizations with plans of world domination or increasing the sea and or the land, or whatever it was the villains in Unova hoped to achieve (freeing all Pokemon? I never played all the way through any of the Unova games), are thwarted by 10yos on a regular basis. And I firmly believe it’s because none of these groups are actually going for world domination, and are instead just adults that looked at the system and went “What if we give these kids something to REALLY fight against? Beyond earning badges and collecting Pokemon, let’s give them the illusion of saving the world, because how awesome would that be?”
And I like to think that once these kids get a little older they realize what really happened, and they simply keep it to themselves much like IRL adults mostly keep the whole “Santa isn’t real” thing from little kids. It’s just a part of the culture of the Pokemon world, when your a kid, not only do you get arguably the coolest pets ever, and get to travel your country and battle gym leaders and stuff, you also get to “save the world” which can only be the biggest confidence boost to ever exist and any plane of any reality.
Tldr: I believe the villain teams in Pokemon are really just adults letting kids gain confidence through beating them and saving the world, and also I shouldn’t play Pokemon so much when I'mnin a nostalgic mood because now i wanna cry at how awesome that would be if true.

In 1974, four years after publishing his first children’s book about the close friendship between Frog and Toad, the author and illustrator Arnold Lobel told his family he was gay. “I think ‘Frog and Toad’ really was the beginning of him coming out,” says his daughter, Adrianne.

Let’s her to find longer pants at first
length of her pants ≠ her independence
So according to you longer pants should be prioritized, as opposed to her finding her independence? Yeah ok

ppl mocking eating disorders is ableism, not skinny-shaming. skinny-shaming isnt real.

hey just a heads up, since i didn’t know this myself until very recently:
starbucks sells ice water for 25 cents! they give you a venti (you can ask for a trenta if you want more water and it’s the same price!) cup and fill it up with ice and fresh drinking water. i get them all the time.
it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, but homelessness is a serious issue in the coming summer months and ESP in places like my state where the drinking water tastes atrocious so i figured i’d give you guys the heads up. having fresh cold drinking water makes a huge difference in 105+ F temperatures. water bottles can be expensive – you really can’t beat 25 cents.
last but not least – if you can, keep the cup. the 25 cents is for the cost of the cup and if the employees at your local starbucks are nice they’ll usually refill it for free.
Also if you live in Arizona (I don’t know if other states do this) it’s illegal for any food service place (restaurants, grocery stores, etc) to deny you water. They can’t charge you for it. If they charge for cups they must have a water fountain available.
as far as i know that’s true for most states
