The Park name has been in Laurel Colorado since 1880. The Park name is known for having some of the best football players ever. But Alan, he wasn't one of them. Now I'm not saying that Alan is a wimp because he's anything but, he's just not into the whole thwoing the ball around for entertainment thing. Because of this, Alan wasn't very close to his family. Though he wasn't close to his family Alan had many friends and girlfriends. Yet they were never good enough for him.
Once Alan moved away from his family and to New York he met Lydia. Not in real life though. Alan met Lydia via the internet and slowly but surely fell in love with her. He loved that she was shy around him so times and even liked the fact that she could be overly joyful in some situations. Yet nothing is ever perfect for Alan. Every time he would ask to hang out with Lydia she would make up an excuse to not meet up or chat with him via camera. Alan was hurt by that but never said anything.
When Alan got the chance to meet Lydia through catfish, he was happy. He knew that she was hiding something but he also knew that she couldn't hide her feelings or personality. He was just hoping that she was everything he hoped she would be. If not, Alan wouldn't know what would happen except that he would be complete and utterly heartbroken.
CONNECTIONS
Lydia Preston; Alan is complete in love with Lydia. He hasn't known her long but he knows that he really loves her. He trust her with everything that's going on in his life and knows that if she's a someone totally different than who she says she is; he would be heartbroken
Dustin Marks; Alan knew that Dustin didn't like him. I mean most people don't like the guy with an ego that stands two hundred mile's tall. But after Alan pushed Dustin into a talk they became good friends. But even after Alan told Dustin everything. Dustin didn't tell Alan anything about why he was in the town.

Dustin was never liked as a kid. Maybe it was because he had a gay brother or maybe it was because he was very nerdy. In highschool Dustin was bullied pretty bad. From his car being keyed to being shoved in a locker, it was bad. Because of this he became very involved with himself - not in a arrogant way. He was very insecure for a long time and still is today. He doesn't like having all the attention on him nor would he ever want to be the star of anything. He likes to blend into the wall and watch people - you could call him a wallflower.
When Dustin met Maya his whole view of the world changed. Though he lied about what he looks like and who he is, she made him feel like he should give the world a second chance. She made him happy and pushed him to do more things in his career area. Dustin couldn't help but fall in love with her - even if she wasn't a girly girl. She was unique to him and he loved that.
When Maya brought up the new catfish show, Dustin was scared shitless. He didn't want to go with thought that he might lose her. But when Maya kept persisting he decided he'd go anyways. When he first arrived to the town he spotted her. She had a picture in hand and was looking at everyone. Dustin couldn't help but bitterly laugh knowing that she'd never find him until she figures out who he is.
CONNECTIONS
Maya Mycroft; Maya is someone very special to Dustin. She changed his views on life and made him happier than anyone else in the world. Dustin is obviously in love with Maya but being that he's hiding who he really is he knows they would never work.
Alan Park; Dustin didn't really like Alan at first. He seemed like very ignorant guy he's ever met. But once he got to know Alan's situation he understood everything and he felt bad for judging him so quickly. One week of being in town they became great friends - pretty much Dustin's only friend ever.

Declan grew up with two loving parents. Well if you count leaving him with a nanny and no siblings. And she wasn’t even a nice nanny, she was one of those nannies who smoked while you were watching TV. All in all she was a bitch and Declan was left with her. Although his parents were never there they did buy him anything he wanted, but what's that good for when you have no one to share it with...or brag about it with. He was a little power ranger in his own world, with a drunken, smoking nanny and two parents who barely saw him. Though he never really cared what people thought about him so that might be one of the reasons he get called a manwhore a lot. But he defiantly wasn't one. He just wanted to be loved by someone.
That's when Acacia came around. I mean Tori but Acacia to him. Acacia was someone that didn't care what happened in Declan's past and could careless about what other people thought of him. Declan loved that about her. How she never cared what people thought. He's a lot like that. When he found out about his past it was saddening. He felt that her life was so upsetting that he should be happy with how his life was. Ever since knowing Acacia, Declan has been a lot happier with his life.
Declan didn't understand at first why Acacia pushed him and her onto the show. But thought it would be a good idea to finally get to meet her. He just didn't think it would be so hard to find her. The minute he stepped into the town he thought he'd be able to find her immediately. But one week in he couldn't find her and he knew why. He's been catfished.
CONNECTIONS
Acacia Smith (Torrey "Tori" Moreau); Declan fell in love with her over the internet and since then doesn't want to be separated. He can't help but fall in love with her beauty and personality. But finally getting to the town he knew she wasn't all he thought she was.
Theo Garret; Right when getting to town Declan couldn't help but become friends with Theo. Though they have different personalities, Declan looks at Theo like a brother. Though they become great friends Declan doesn't explain his situation to Theo nor does he.

Molly grew up in a very gated area with two loving parents. She was a very good child with an even nicer house. Her father and mother were always supportive with her dreams - even when she decided to not go to college and become a model. She never had time for dating and she didn't really want to date. But that all changed when she found the internet. Via instagram she met a very charming man named Theo. He was always so compassionate towards her and told Molly many fascinating and adventurous stories. Molly wasn't afraid to tell him about her family. Which in some asects she likes to hide.
Her mother is a socialite always throwing the best parties - using all her fathers money - and only inviting the A-listers. She's always in the tabloids. Everyone who's anyone has heard of her, Cynthia Davis. Her father is the founder of his own company the Davis Industries for electronics. He's worked with Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Mark Zuckerberg . At first she thought Theo would never talk to her again or even use her to get himself in the tabloids. That's when he shocked her and told her that he didn't care. That all he wanted to do was be with her and hold her.
Molly never felt so happy in her whole entire life. She was so loved by not only the man of her dreams but also her friends and family. Though every time Molly would ask to meet up with Theo he would have an excuse. "My car's broke." or "I broke my rib and I'm in the hospital." Of course Molly didn't believe any of that, she just thought he was scared to meet her. When Molly heard about the Nev and Max reunion and their new show she couldn't help but force her way on the show. And by God she would force Theo as well.

Theo Garret; Molly fell in love with Garret very quickly and can't help but be worried about that. Though she trusts him with all of her heart she feels as he's hiding something and Molly doesn't like that. She want's and honest relationship with Theo and hopes that the show will help that.
Lydia Preston; Molly met Lydia one day in the small town. They talked over coffee and became friends because of it. Though they became even closer when Lydia confessed everything to Molly. About how she was lying to Alan. Molly at first was a little hesitant - because deep down inside she knew Theo was doing the same thing - but Molly understood and after that they talked for ends on ends.

Not only what she looks like but about her entire past. She always would tell herself it was for the better and that he would never love her if he found out she was a nerd. Lydia and Alan have been talking for many months and have been dating for four. Though Alan doesn't know the real Lydia, she can't help but fall more and more in love with him every day. When she got the chance to finally met him she was overwhelm with insecurities. At first she was scared that he would never like the real her but she reminded herself that it was now or never.

Sure she was happy that he didn't but she could tell deep down inside that he wasn’t. Her dad had many difficulty's as Maya grew up. Especially about things that mother's should explain. Because of this Maya grew up like a tomboy. She would burp, and fart without a care in the world, she would rather eat worms and bugs then play dolls with the rest of the girls.
Maya has lived in Austin Texas all her life. Which might be why she wants to leave so bad. Not only has she known the same people for most of her life but she's also been bullied by the same people for most her life. Three days before she went into college she met Dustin Marks. She met Dustin via Facebook through a mutual friends. At first they were just friends but through out their online relationship Maya started to get feelings for him and one day she decided to tell him. She was undoubtedly nervous as she typed the message into the chat box. But she was overcome with joy when he said he had feelings as well.
They've been dating for two long loving years. But what Maya doesn't know is that Dustin isn't really Dustin. Sure his name is the same but what he looks like and who he is, is very different. You would think she is would be really close to her mom. But that's not necessarily true. When her and her mother found out about the deaths it made them separate. They haven't talked since Tori was eighteen. She's twenty two now.
Tori didn't want to talk or trust anyone. The only place she felt comfortable was online, but not as herself. She would pose as a totally different person, never bringing in real life situation. Until she met Declan. Declan is someone very special to Tori. She felt as if she could tell anything to Declan especially what happened with her family. When Tori was upset, angry, or depressed Declan has always been there for her. But the sad thing is, she's posing as a totally different person.
Acacia Smith is her online name. She's a twenty-two year old lawyer student attending Harvard. She lives in Minnesota and travels by plane to get to school. Her father was a millionaire, and her mother is a trophy wife. She has three older sisters that work for Vogue. And the rest about her brother's was true. The only reason Tori signed up for this is because she's tired of lying to Declan and wants to finally tell him the truth.
