Cats and Dogs in the Window is an extensive photographic project by Chantal Rens. During her walks, through all kinds of residential areas, she photographs cats and dogs in the place we could call their natural habitat: behind the window. Again and again she captures the encounters, probably familiar to many animal lovers, in a striking way. So common we hardly see it, such a shame. With a windowsill as their stage and miscellaneous knick knacks as the scene our pets are in the center of attention.

Occasionally a series of photos appear in a publication of which nine parts have been published since 2016. Publications available online and in store at Boekie Woekie in Amsterdam and UTRECHT, Tokyo ao.
