Hello :D I've fully moved in! So, time for a real pinned intro post~
I'm Silvie, but many folks call me Wyra bc that's my FFXIV character's name.
I've been on tumblr for a decade, but got a fresh start since my old blog, @cat-sidhe-silvie, was largely pagan spirituality/witchy aesthetics and I wanted a more... casual feel? Hah! Also to not overwhelm people expecting the former with a lot of FFXIV posts... because that's what I do for fun nowadays.
I observe the 2-week spoiler-free window after patch day, and will only post in rot-13 if I need to share my excitement with the world sooner.
I am not exclusively FFXIV (especially in the months before Dawntrail) and may also post or reblog the occasional other FF, Baldur's Gate 3, Dungeons and Dragons TTRPG, Pokemon, Digimon, Dracula, general lovely art, or witchy aesthetic content.
I have a lot of pets and foster others frequently! I've fostered snakes, geckos, hedgehogs, dogs, and cats, but now focus on cats since I helped to start a local rescue organization. Currently, we have permanent pet cats, dogs, fish, tarantulas, jumping spiders, geckos, and snakes. I breed the jumping spiders as a hobby, and bred axolotls in the past, though we do not own any currently since moving to a place with way too hard of water ;v;
Professionally, I am a technical editor and software support engineer. This means that I know proper grammar, but choose to ignore it when off the clock and typing on mobile :D Then I reread my posts and frantically edit them in shame the next day.
I am a she/her biromantic greysexual, married to an ace man! I am cis but support trans friends.
Lastly, I do take art commissions and post my stuff on occasion! I specialize in cutesy romantic stuff, FFXIV characters, cats, furries, and dragons.

My poor spores druid, Winnie, has had quite a convoluted, somewhat toxic love story in my Monday-night D&D game, hah.
Winnie is 50, but a half-elf, so she isn't even a fourth of the way through her life. That said, she was raised by a human adoptive family in a tiny villiage that was fairly isolated, including almost exclusively other humans. As such, she made friends, and even ended up married to a human -- until they realized the lifespan differences would only lead them to unhappiness, and her first and only real romantic relationship ended in an amicable divorce.
After her parents passed away, Winnie became an adventurer and promptly found herself kidnapped by an unknown entity and dumped in a cave on a remote island with her now-party members. They all were missing 2 weeks of memory.
The party moved on and started handling other issues, all while trying to figure out what is happening with their missing memories.
While working to locate kidnapped individuals in a nobleman's house, they infiltrated a ball and Winnie was instantly spotted and dragged into a dance by a mysterious woman with dark hair and clothes. The woman was strangely interested in her, and knew an eerie amount of Winnie's backstory already.
The woman revealed herself to be Angelica, a vampire -- and someone who had been quite close with Winnie in those two weeks. So close that Angelica swears she is in love with Winnie, and begs for another chance since fate got in the way last time.
Winnie is overwhelmed, but after having a very rough go of it in her adventure so far, being in a rough spot with her party disliking her for her forays into spore zombie creations.... she accepts. Any ally is better than no ally, and this ally seems to genuinely care about Winnie -- and accept her despite all her strangeness or boringness (depending on who you talked to).
Winnie is willfully blind to the red flags, accepting that Angelica says she has a rough past but wants to be better for Winnie. It seems genuine, and the woman smothers Winnie in compliments and declarations of love.
Before too long, though, Winnie finds that there are darker sides to Angelica beyond her diet of people the party has to kill in self-defense.
She is somewhat sadistic towards people who wrong Winnie, despite Winnie's dismissal of mild harassment for the sake of getting along. She threatens party members or strangers who hurt Winnie's feelings or seem to be judging Winnie, going so far as to do it in an alleyway while Winnie is sleeping to avoid upsetting her.
And worstly, she is impossibly cryptic about the past. Winnie doesn't care as much, initially -- but when the couple is cornered in an alleyway by a group of ten other vampires who weild a magic dagger that sends Angelica to her knees, writhing in pain as her eyes go dark, that past comes to haunt them.
Having just gone on what was supposed to be a quiet date to ensure they had an alibi for antics the party got into earlier that day, Winnie didn't have her staff, nor the proper spells prepared for a vampiric fight -- she had a wand, but the only thing she could really use it for was to wildshape. So, she took the form of a big wolf and stood guard over the whimpering Angelica as the vampires threatened them and slowly realized who Winnie was. Indeed, these other vampires knew Winnie and Angelica, as well as the rest of the party, and was planning to reap the reward for turning the two noble runaways in. What's worse, they expected Angelica's help -- or else they'd tell Winnie what happened in the two weeks that they knew Angelica didn't want divulged.
Shockingly, she agreed to coopeprate, and Winnie and Angelica were escorted to the vampires' den, locked in a grusome cell and told they will be guests for the foreseeable future.
Winnie has a heart-to-heart with Angelica and insists that nothing is worth being at the beck and call of these vampiric assholes.... and there is no chance of freedom if all that stops her from disobeying is the threat of simple blackmail. Winnie pleads and begs that Angelica just be honest with her, so she can hear what happened and form a reaction based on the complete explanation, so they can deal with it like mature adults and take that power from their captors.
Angelica admits piece-by-piece that she had done something bad.... murder-level bad: she had killed a maid, not out of need for sustenance or self-defense, and not accidentally. But she refuses to share anything else, reteating into her corner and leaving Winnie to fume.
Winnie could escape, but she won't -- not without Angelica. Angelica, regardless of whatever she did, wants to escape the past and be good, and doesn't deserve to be tortured. She may be immortal, but the dagger caused great suffering, and Winnie figured that if only she escaped using her freshly-prepared spells, it wouldn't be long before Angelica was simply tortured or blackmailed into working against Winnie's party anyway.
The dramaaaa. Poor girls. They'll get a happy ending... I hope. Eventually. But dang it if they won't have a rough time getting there, and they gotta work through a lot of distrust first haha.
My current predictions:
Angelica cheated on Winnie with this maid and then killed her to destroy the evidence?
The maid tried to hurt or be rude to Winnie, or Angelica thought she was going to, so she preemptively killed her despite Winnie's wishes?
Angelica was working for the bad guy, doing his evil bidding or killing indiscriminately (including this maid) until she decided to switch sides because she fell for Winnie?
Winnie was the original target for a feeding (or see above point), but the maid was accidentally killed instead; somehow it led to their meeting the first time?
Winnie was with the maid romantically or friendly with her and Angelica was jealous?
I'm not sure which will end up being the truth, but eesh I hope it isn't the first or last options haha. Those would not lead to happy endings since I'm not sure how Winnie could ever get past them. I think there is a good chance of hurt feelings but eventual understanding and ability to move past any of the others.
There is yet another Big thing that will happen soon(tm) that I'm excited for (DM and I agreed it will happen), but we have to wait and see how it happens, and when...

My spores druid in a long-running D&D game has always been the mom of the party. She is a 50yo half-elf from a rural northern village where she was adopted by a human couple who ran an inn that doubled as a bakery. Her town was largely a human town with no other elves or half-elves, and she was extra weird because she could hear whispers from fungi, so she was a little othered at first. There was one girl her age who did stand up for her a bit, and they ended up getting married at a young age.
Unfortunately, Winnie faced her first heartbreak shortly after when they realized that Vera would continue to age while Winnie still looked 20. Not being a full elf, she would age -- but still slowly enough that it would present a lifespan difference issue. The couple ended up divorcing amicably, and coupled with the death of her parents due to old age, it spurred Winnie on to leave home and make her way as an adventurer.
Unfortunately for her, Winnie finds herself waking up in a cave with her current adventuring party shortly after -- 2 weeks of memory lost -- and embroiled in a conflict between cults and gods.
Most of her party are significantly younger, even another pair of half-elves, and left her as the only responsible one in many situations. Paying for damaged inn rooms, healing, not immediately running off for one night stands. Everyone else in the party had romantic flings come up, but Winnie was focused on their job and had very specific rules for anyone she would be interested in -- the most important being compatible life spans so aging and loneliness wouldn't leave her upset again.
WELL. DM delivered this week, haha! Party went undercover to a formal ball at a noble's home to investigate, and Winnie was a fish out of water. "That rug is probably worth more than the net income of my entire town...." she was disgusted by the misuse of gold towards things no one could possibly need, and terrified to make a misstep and get caught.
Fortunately(?), the other two half-elves in the party are runaway nobles themselves, pretending to be Winnie's siblings to escape recognition. Her "sister" sees her floundering and drags her to the dance floor, where I expected they would get to talk a bit or Winnie could be educated on the life of the rich.... but instead, a mysterious woman in black spots Winnie and beelines. Winnie is terrified but greets the stranger, who immediately takes to flirting with her. This shocks everyone, as poor Winnie is usually trying to blend in and the other half-elves are FAR more noticeable. This woman, Angelica, barely even acknowledges Winnie's sister in front of her. As a bit of payback, the sister insists Winnie go dance with the stranger, and Winnie thinks perhaps it is a chance for her (with her +1 CHA) to gather gossip for the mission.
Instead, Winnie is taken by surprise how borderline obsessive this woman is with her -- even guessing parts of her backstory that she is wary of. Is this someone tracking her? Meant to be a distraction?? She seems more comfortable with Winnie than anyone should be after only a few minutes. Winnie also gets a vibe that this human-looking woman is not in fact fully human. The party has met several deities already, and fortunately the magic doesn't seem to have a divine flavor.... but hm.
Winnie gets her answer shortly after when they are alone after plot events, and the woman admits that she knew Winnie in the past -- and that she knows what happened in the missing two weeks, though she cannot share bc magical craziness. Angelica says that she and Winnie were close, and she wishes to have a second chance with her... and when Winnie hesitates based on the idea that she may be human, Angelica brushes it off and says she is even older. Stunned, Winnie asks how it is possible -- and Angelica says that as long as Winnie promises not to be mad, she would share. Winnie, being a spores druid herself and, therefore, rather more open-minded than your standard druid, says as much -- though reserving her right to feel emotions that are warranted and reflexive.
Still, Angelica admits that she is a vampire, and Winnie is a bit shocked. Only days earlier had they heard a tale from a goddess about a group of heroes who fought and killed a vampire who was laying waste to a village. But.... at the edge of her memory, Winnie knows that she has met another vampire. Certainly in this erased past. Angelica says that while she must eat, if anyone could help her to be better, it is Winnie, and that she is in love with her.
Winnie manages a 27 insight check (hooray druids!) and realizes that she is being genuine -- and that Winnie did in fact care for this woman before.
Viewing the fact that vampires likely don't choose their fate, this one seems to be making an effort to be good, and trusting the her of her missing memory, Winnie agrees that she will give Angelica a chance. And!!! This is someone who could meet her druidic lifespan, and someone arguably even harder to kill than she is.
Now, though, she has to introduce her to the rest of the party so they can go raid the dungeon underneath the ballroom, because D&D.
I'm 100% certain this will go well and there are absolutely no red flags in this relationship that she is ignoring at all 🤣
