This was an illustration requested on patreon by my friend narratingarchivist for february.

the request was for a snippet for Fogclaw's apprenticeship so i ended up going with her first night in the apprentice's den alongside her only denmate, Stormpaw, who is unhappy for not getting his warrior name alongside all of his peers, and for having to share a den with a cat he still considers a baby. i will not elaborate too much on this since i'll delve into it later in the comic

When sickness took her away from her young daughter, Sootnose never expected seeing her walk into Starclan's territory while still being alive, but the biggest surprise came to Sootnose when with no explanation at all, she was forced to stay away from her daughter's leader ceremony.
