Sleepless nights

You have made it hard for me to sleep, You have even invaded my dreams. The sad part is that my dreams exemplify my desire. My desire for you. I wake up feeling pathetic, Knowing that it wasn't real, And knowing that I still want you. My dreams are us together, Picture perfect. Somewhat like a fairytale. Dreams where you comeback to me. My sweet boy, Can't you see how much I miss you? You're all I think about, yet, I know you're not thinking of me. These dreams are killing me slowly. Dreams of you holding me like you use to in your bedroom, Dreams of you stealing kisses. Dreams of you telling me you miss me. But the reality is I'm the one who's missing you. Did you already erase me from your memory? Tell me how could you have done this to me? Leave and not feel anything, You've cut me off not using a single word, Just silence. The silence is eating me alive, It picks at my brain every chance it gets. It creeps its way into my thoughts late at night, Making it hard to sleep. Bringing me nothing but sadness. I wish you had more respect for me. The decency to tell me it was over, I would have had some type of closure. Now I'm left here, With nothing but dreams. Dreams that aren't helping me let go. You have creeped your way into my thoughts again, It’s making it hard to sleep. Why am I torturing myself? Why can’t I move past this? You’re sleeping peacefully, With not one regret.

I find it odd that I’m the one suffering, I have done nothing but love you. Was loving you a bad thing? I’m starting to think it was. See loving you has brought me nothing but pain. Nothing good came out of it. So why not get over it?

I’m constantly fighting with myself, Constantly trying to get you out of my brain. Hoping every night I fall asleep when I wake I have forgotten you. You control me, The funny this is you aren’t even aware of what you’re still doing to me. Although, it’s me who’s allowing you to.

Endless wave of emotions.

I can still feel your hands caressing my body, The waves of warmth moving through me. I could lay with you for hours with our bodies intertwined. Forgetting about the world around us, For a moment it was just you and I. You filled me with a happiness I had never felt before and I had hoped I did the same for you. I found myself seeing the world differently, As if I was seeing it for the first time. You did this for me, and I believed it would be endless. The thought of many first times with you was satisfying, Because I was finally genuinely happy, surrounded by you. I saw my future with you, You made me a better person. You made me feel as if I was worthy of love. See I'm a person who has a lot of work to do when it comes to self love. I look at myself in the mirror unhappy, And unable to see what others see. But you, You saw beauty in me, And because of you I was starting to see it too. Along the way things changed and you lost interested in me. My world was shattered, Confused and numb. How is it that someone could control my emotions to the point where I'm physically sick? I lost control, and let someone in. Someone who wasn't planning on staying. You left, Left silently, which has made it harder to move on. You took something from me the day you left, A piece of me I shall never recover. I'm left with waves of emotions, Emotions that I have no control over. Some days are easier than others. Some days are filled with sadness. Days where I question if I'm worthy of being loved. Days where I'm battling myself on why I don't deserve you. You have broken me, But I will recover, You weren't the one for me, And although all I'm feeling is pain at the moment I know I will overcome this. But you, my sweet boy You have things coming your way. Maybe for you this was just a game, Hope you can handle karma and hers.

The pain you've brought me is one that goes unspoken. You have broken me in so many ways, that my mind can't even process Broken me so deeply that it hurts to think or speak. I got so lonely I forgot what I was worth, So lonely that I believed I could make it work. How is it possible that you could have moved on so quickly? Did I even make an impact on you? How could you just leave me without warning? How could a decent person leave without an explanation? These are all the questions I'm still asking myself, And I sit here in silence with no answers. Wondering what I did WRONG? Wondering why I wasn't chosen? I'm glad we crossed paths, You have reminded me what I'm worth and I'm worth much MORE than what you were giving. I can't seem to escape you. You have invaded my thoughts. Everything reminds me of you, And I cannot make it stop. Sadness is overwhelming me. You have broken me. Can you see what you've done to me? You left me thinking about the possibilities, You left me thinking that something is wrong with me. But I've come to realization that there's something wrong with you. You have so much work to do, before you devote yourself to someone new.
