I worked in the tanning industry for 5 years, but now I'm a cloth diapering, baby wearing, co-sleeping, breastfeeding, gentle parenting, stay at home mom. This isn't strictly a mom blog. I may take a different approach than you do, but it by no means implies that I am in the wrong. Not your kid? Not your problem. Sorry I prefer to take the time to talk to my kids like the humans that they are. If they're old enough to understand logic & reason, use it. If they're not old enough to understand logic & reason, they're definitely not old enough to understand why they're being hit. Your opinion may differ, & that's wonderful for you & your household. But this is how my household runs. Don't like it? Not your house, so it doesn't matter whether you like it or not. My child isn't a "wild heathen running in the streets." No, he doesn't walk all over me, despite what you may think you know. Don't feel sorry for my children. They're perfectly loved. The cherry on top of the cake? If you don't have children, shut your damn mouth.

I've been trying to be better about this. I need to stop doing housework until I'm in physical pain from it like I've been doing lately. I'm 32 weeks pregnant & have a toddler. Sometimes picking up toys can go on the back burner.
