I wanted to start a series of game recommendations, so here we go.
Starting off with a cozy title, Amber Isle!
Amber Isle is a cozy store management game set in a cartoony, prehistoric world– and the best part is you play as a cute dino or primitive creature!
Quick Game Highlights:
Character Creation
Store Management
Crafting
Map Exploration
NPC Friendships
You are the new shop owner in Amber Isle! You'll have the chance to set up and decorate your new store however you like! With features like setting your own prices, creating a layout that will maximize profits and even haggling with your toothy customers! And don't worry, there is a way to automate the more tedious tasks as your store ranks up!
This game includes a good-sized map with different biomes and primeval characters to inhabit them! Rich in cute, easy-going, fun and even grumpy Paleofolk, you'll meet all kinds here! Pay special attention to their likes and dislikes to raise not only your friendship levels with them, but also your store profits!
That's not all though, you'll traverse the map and collect all the materials you need to craft items to sell in your shop!
There are so many items to craft and sell! Seven categories! From cookware to office supplies, you can unlock new items in their respective trees to give your customers more variety to choose from! Earn more points by selling items to your customers, tending the shop, decorating the Isle and more!
There's also a storyline about revitalizing the dilapidated town and plenty of side quests! Some quests even level up your tools!
Are you like me and change your mind on your character's appearance? No worries! You can change your character's appearance at any time with the mirror in your room! A nice feature in the character creator is the ability to save presets! If you wanted a change but miss how you used to look, save a preset to switch to later!
I'll also add that this game has 29 achievements to earn on Steam! That might not matter to everyone, but I like earning them.
Of course there are always things that could be improved and make the game better (preferences and opinions, keep in mind).
One thing I wish the game had was the ability to decorate your living spaces and those of the Paleofolk. You don't have any control over how your room is decorated (save for the wallpaper and flooring that will be the same as your shop's) or the homes of your neighbors.
Unfortunately, you won't even be able to see the inside of the Paleofolk's homes. Though, to play devil's advocate, I know the main focus of this game is to be a store owner, so I can look past it.
I recommend Amber Isle to any cozy gamers who may want a break from the usual farming theme or those who like management/tycoon style games.
This game has some similarities to games like Animal Crossing, for those who like similar playstyles. It's easy to learn and you can complete objectives at your own pace.
I'd say that anyone can play Amber Isle, though keep in mind there is no voice acting and conversations are text based.
As a disclaimer, I play most games on PC like I did this one. Stability may vary between PC and consoles (especially for the Switch).
For anyone wanting some good Treasure Hunter farming spots, I’ve been farming this location all morning.
Cow Spots Creamery
New River Gorge Bridge - West
I’ve gotten lucky with 1 - 3 Treasure Hunters spawning each server hop. Plus these two locations are right next to each other! Make sure to check above and below the bridge.
Hope this will help some fellow vault dwellers! Happy hunting!

Still only maybe 30 hours in my Street Kid V playthrough. I’ve become obsessed with photomode especially with the new poses they’ve added with the patch! Here are a few of my favorite shots. More to come I'm sure ;)
