The 2026 Cate Blanchett Birthday Project
Every year, for the past 12 years I’m collaborating with Cate Blanchett fans around the world in order to make something special for her birthday. And I am super excited to say that we have made 11 successful birthday projects together which has ALL arrived to Cate.
Cate Blanchett has influenced me and many more people through the years and this project is my way to say: Thank You. This year the project will surround CONNECTING.
I think that connections make us feel welcomed. It makes us feel home. And home doesn’t have to be a place, but the people you share it with.
This year i will ask you to send me a handwritten sentence that will later create a mosaic of different cultures, places and perspectives
All you need to do, is to write by your handwriting :

and complete the sentence with your own words.
In addition to that, please add a pic of a place that you see as home: it can be a place in your country or something that means a lot to you. These will be used as the video background.
In your email please also answer the following questions:

We’ve all, in a way, found a sense of home through discovering Cate. She’s changed how we see the world, brought us together, and sparked new friendships. More than that, she’s made us feel welcomed, connected, and part of something meaningful. Ibelieve this is our way of saying THANK YOU.
Please DO NOT use cursive writing so it would be as readable as possible.
Please write 1-2 sentenses ONLY. I don’t want to ask you to cut off your words and I want everyone to have an equal spot :)
The final project will be a short video that includes your texts and answered questions in a creative way.
THE FINAL PROJECT WILL BE POSTED ONLINE: So don't get too personal. Everyone who wants to see the project, will be able to do so.

Can you guarantee Cate will receive the project? - sadly not, but we will try our best to make this work.
