Fahlada is a perfectionist and has OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder). She likes everything to be arranged neatly, specifically into pairs.

You can see in this scene that there are six pens altogether and Fahlada is using one of them. Before she leaves, she pushes the pen back into the right place and straightens up the textbook.

In her workspaces, every object is lined up perfectly to her liking and rarely out of place or scattered.

Previously, Fahlada’s life had become in disarray after the breakup with Earn. She had lost the person who made her feel safe and comfortable with herself.

Earn always knew that Fahlada had OCD. She curated everything, including their bedroom, to fit to Fahlada’s needs. Even now, she continues organising everything into pairs for her.

This is also why Earn brings Fahlada two desserts instead of one.
