This is a simple still life made with acrylic paint over a paper mache background. I spent the most time on the paper mache part of this piece because I really think it gives a certain relaxed feeling when done properly. The off-white tones in the newspaper contrast with the dark orange-yellow flower pedals in the cream colored/gray tea cup. This piece represents relaxation for me. It makes me think of sitting in a window with the sun on the pages of a good book.

This is a water color piece that represents the comfort of sleep through the position of the woman sleeping. She is naked because being in your birthday suit is the most comfortable one can be in my opinion.
